got my first macbook (m2 air 16, 512) for computer science for $1500 after tax from education store, 14” m1 pro is $1800 after tax from education store. i’m a college student who values portability, no brainer

Good review, but it won’t age well. You’re comparing Apple’s prices for the M2 MacBook Air to third-party sellers’ discounted prices of the M1 MacBook Air and M1 Pro MacBook Pro. Will your review hold up once the M2 MacBook Air goes on sale? Probably not.

yeah pretty much… I was really excited about it until I saw just how expensive it actually is. If you’re buying a specced out air, just get the pro, it’s basically the same price… if you want the base model, just get the M1, it’s insanely cheaper for basically the same computer.

It’s really true when you said that it’s sandwiched between 2 of the best laptops that apple ever made. And also I feel that M1 MacBook Air just set the standard really high because previously no one did anything serious on MacBook Airs just casual stuff but then suddenly air can do stuff like video editing much better than more expensive windows counterparts.

Thermal throttling isn’t a big deal, all these laptops thermal throttle! We don’t buy them at premiums for maximum performance, they’re skinny and pretty! And thermal throttle.

This is why these reviews, even weeks or months after a product’s release, are must watch. It’s the most complete, informative M2 MBA video I’ve seen so far, and it’s worth every second of the watch. Quinn — i know as a perfectionist you noticed but there was some distortion or noise in some of the scenes. Was that a youtube upload quality loss issue?

First of all I’m 2 min in the video haven’t watch the rest yet but I just stopped to say I never got why people who review this laptop says “it’s impossibly thin” when clearly it’s way thinner and lighter laptops out the that’s very very close in power ex. Galaxy Book2 pro …. I’ll continue watching now
