So they changed the design chassis, the display, the speakers and the chip, bring back MagSafe, And it still “that’s it”?? Not talking about price but just changes.
I think Apple is more criticized than it’s competitors.

It’s nice to hear an honest opinion that doesn’t praise the m2 MacBook Air more than it deserves and I can’t agree with it more as much as they did try to make it look shiny and new.

I agree with all the points you brought up. At $1199USD, the value proposition is worse than the M1 Air was. For me personally, the M1 Air has been an awesome – if dated looking computer. I might just end up getting the 10 core M1 Pro 14 inch. I want a laptop that looks good, feels good, and will last for 4+ years. Not to mention have rock solid design. I wouldn’t want to get the M2 Air and feel I made the wrong choice by not spending just a few hundred dollars extra to get a (all-around) better laptop. ALWAYS go for quality – even if it costs a lot more. It’ll typically pay for itself in the end.

256GB Air is absolutely scrap and waste of money and failed IQ test of the buyer. The performance difference (I don’t mean processor only) between Air and Pro is huge. If you’re not someone who buys new Mac every year, for a longer period of time 14” Pro is way better deal.

You’re the first review I’ve seen that mentioned additional flex in the keyboard deck of the M2 Air vs the M1 Air. I wasn’t even aware of that. That’s important to a lot of people.

You strike the balance of praise and critisism perfectly. A lot of channels usually go hard on either and then don’t acknowledge and opposing. You have nailed the balance, giving praise where its due and critisism where its also due. Been watching you since well before your year-or-so long break many, many years ago and you’ve come such a long way. Bravo!
