Hii if i want to use extra monitor and keyboard and mouse plus charging
How i make it possible
Great Video! Thaks for making great content! Gold Standard
I have returned three Macbook pro 14s and my 4th is en route. Reason why I returned 3 was due to the sound crackling issue. A lot of people seem to have this issue, did you?
What typing app or website are you using when discussing the keyboard? Would love to check it out.
I charge with 20w charger and Al dente
I have a 16″ M1 Max, 64GB, 2TB. Its terrific for my machine learning work (I am not a serious video editor, only casual stuff). Both Tensorflow and Torch deep learning libraries are using the GPUs now, making the machine great. I can run large ML projects quickly using this config. I was wondering if it was an overkill when I got it, but can justify it now.
I dont use it in clamshell mode and have no app crashes.
My battery lasts about 10 hours, I was disappointed about this. When I checked with folks they said I should expect about this much for my usage.
I dont take the machine outside my home for the fear of dropping. I like moving around my home when I work with it.
Gold Standard… I have the same but in the 16″ and have been very happy as well. I rarely use it in clamshell mode but when I have I haven’t see those issues. Perhaps they are something specific to the 14″. Getting ready to buy another for my oldest in college who will be doing a lot of programming and we are seriously considering the 14″ as the size might be a little better to classroom use. Great video, I love the honesty in the pros and cons!
Ive had my last 2014 macbook pro since then, i BETTER not regret this after 6 months or a year
Mine also drains faster
Well known flaw. Apple doesn’t know how to write drivers, hence the horrendous incompatiility with all external devices. You attach anything, it is miserable and it isn’t stable as many Mac lovers seem to claim. I find Windows 10 much more stable for average users. I give it that the CPU and battery is awesome, but the juries are for sure still out whether Mac can be a staple on everyone’s desktop. Its incompatibility is hidden and instability is well hidden buy Mac lovers who simply hide (or guess that they simply bear it and don’t complain).
USB-C is so fast and USB-A is so slow
Wow….I like your white hoodie in the beginning of the video. Link to where to buy?
I got a question: I have the MacBook Pro M1 Max 14″ and i use it to restore most of my very old camcorder videos. For that i use Davinci Resolve and what i do is that interpolate the fps from 25 fps to 60 fps with the overflow. And only if needed i do a little color correction, nothing else. The fans are kicking in after around 1-2 minutes, when there is a render time of around 10 mins. IS THAT NORMAL? I mean… the fans are not very loud, but i here them. And most reviews on YouTube telling us, that they never heard the fans at any time. Like you saying you only heard them when editing large 8k videos. For my videos we are talking about a filesize of around 700 – 900 MB for each clip. I would really like to know if this is some kind of an error or defect on my MBP M1 Max. Can you please tell me or anyone else?
Gold standard …..just purchased the MacBook Pro 14 inch, waiting for it eagerly 😊
Beautiful, what camera and lens are you using ?
Gold standard. Thank you for the review. I am a great believer that you should buy tech in your timetable not the timetable of Apple.
Thank you for all of this video it was really good for me to decide buy or not
after more than 6 months use of my macbook pro 14″, I still can manage to keep the battery health 95-96%. Some issue I experience so far: Sometimes the speaker “cracks” noise when i play music, sometimes the heat rise even if I dont run many apps that force the fan to spins. 1 more issue very often photoshop crash and closed because of graphic issue..
Its your setup, I think . Try changing your power setting to not sleep when docked and adjust your screen saver. I used to have an issue when or after waking from non apple display (49” Samsung.) as it resets some external dongles. Once I adjusted power AND got a new Apple keyboard with Touch ID, never another problem. It works PERFECTLY.
I also use the macbook docked and yet to see it crash, could be a unit problem
