I feel like Mac Address has really been stepping it up with overall video quality and writing and everything. The videos really come together very nicely. Good work!
I have a Macbook 13 Pro M1 16 GB 512GB and it’s so powerful that I don’t see why would you even want to buy M2 or any higher models I think even if I bought M1 Air it would be the same as the numbers as nearly identical and it saves so much electricity and can be used for a full day 20h
Me: Watching this on a M2 MacBook Air: Cool
I was a big apple hater a few years ago, but know I have a iPhone 13 pro max, a Apple TV and think about getting a MacBook. Funny😂
Easy answer: Xcode will transform the M2 Air into an oven.
He ask a random girl to used the laptop and stared at laptop like a creep with some weird fetish.
1:40 creep
M2 Air could be perfect with 512GB Base SSD and 3nm Processor.
What is he using to see the temperatures in the menu bar?
The only thing I agree with in this video is about price and perhaps SSD longevity, but when it comes to everything else, this laptop isn’t designed to be a rendering powerhouse. It’s demonstrably fine for light computing and productivity. If you look at what students will be using it for, it’s writing papers, researching stuff on the web, Teams/Zoom, watching YouTube videos and perhaps the occasional bursty bit of work. For those tasks it’s perfect. Every reviewer these days seems to evaluate consumer laptops with their own workflows which include heavy video and audio editing and it’s not what most consumers actually do with their devices.
I do a lot of unreal engine work and would imagine the m2 air getting hot real fast. Perhaps the m1 pro 14” would be the better choice for that type of work.
I’d have heavy applications I regularly use, because I compile all the time, and experiment with rendering. However, Macs aren’t an option for me, because of the bs policies with Apple, horrendous reparability, and it’s closed eco system. (and if anybody were to ask me, it would be highly unlikely, I’d recommend any Apple product, except if it’s a video producer, because supposedly there the software is better)
I got my m1 pro MacBook Pro for middle school, and I’m so excited!
Mac Address is the best LMG channel, by far! Don’t you dare @ me.
The slow export time is not because of thermals. The M2 Air throttled is still faster than the M1 Air un-throttled. It’s the fault of the sower swap memory due to the SSD.
There are quite a few reports that the screen cracks for no apparent reason, and Apple behaves exactly the same as with the butterfly keyboard issues. So, I think people, especially students should be way more careful when buying new products from that company.
That background tho
Still annoyed to see War Thunder sponsoring Mac content! The game has been broken for months on MacOS and they still do not support the notchless resolution!
I am using a iPad Pro 11 inch from 2020 and it is and have been carrying me through medical school! (Wanna get a MacBook but thats just me being bad with money)
What would push the M1 Air, especially the base model, would be any software development / engineering activity, like CS students do – Virtual Machines especially as they push RAM and IO harder so that they can accommodate multiple Operating Systems at the same time. Also, it is also necessary from time to time a setup a Windows / Linux VM to run software that’s not available on a Mac, that a teacher requires in his labs.
