I will wait for the a7cii, this camera looks cheap, I wonder if it’s build quality is as bad as the zv-e10 which was mostly
Plastic. it’s also too expensive, but it does have the a7siii sensor so that’s a win. Also I need an Evf.

Very comprehensive review as always Gordon,my main concern with the smaller body,is that shooting in warmer climates will result in much faster overheating(esp in higher quality modes).

The camera I have been waiting for is the A9III have no interest in this what so ever, but your review is great, and if you sell cosmetics then you may be happy with a very close facial crop to show how super the products are 😂

I don’t like the fact that Sony don’t release firmware updates as they should compared to other brands like Fujifilm and Panasonic. My A7RIV and A7SIII have not had any firmware update for long time.
Does the Z1 E1 heat up continuous recording ?

Sony missed the mark of this one. It’s essentially video only at $2200.

First off vloggers is a terrible name. Most people in this segment are content creators and are probably doing a mix of video/photo.

They come out with a video centric camera at $2200 when their comped has a full frame hybrid camera at $1500.

Even at $1500 it would’ve been a tough sell between these two cameras. But at $700 more this is just a fail.

The only people who are going to buy this are people who want a cheap a7Siii as a back up. This would be a terrible first camera for a content creator at that price.

Active and digital stabilisation still don’t look as good as full sensor IBIS on the Panasonic S1 Mk2.
