I really wanted to have this phone, but it seems Samsung is sleeping since their Note 20 ultra was released. The camera is the same as the S21U, with the same quirky experience. The video performance is utterly horrible and all mushy in daylight and jerky at night due to the immature and intrusive “improved” stabilization mode (what in the world??). Shutter speed lag? Why should I care for all the AI improvements, when the final photo is blurred? There is less battery life than the iPhone (luckily for Samsung, the Google pixel 6 pro has even worse battery life). Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chip is really just an overclocked SD 888 with an improved cooling system (yes, it’s a 4nm chip, but why should I care?). No SD, No Charger, 55W Charging in 2022? 1299USD???? where is the upgrade here?
So we ended up with a better zoom (the 10X zoom isn’t enough to match a 150$ point and shoot camera), better selfies, and slow motion? really? that’s it? OK, we have the integrated S-pen (don’t need it) and DEX (nice, but cannot think of a real use case, where I have a monitor and do not have a PC/Laptop)

Samsung would be destroyed if Xiaomi entered the US market; globally, it has already occurred. Apple can be very satisfied.

This video smells like a Samsung ad, I don’t read into these things too much but some “draws”, stabilisation and day photos going either way or to Samsung were very odd choices.
