Great video and a really cool trip down memory lane! I have been a Verizon customer for a long time so I could not get the iPhone for a while and I even waited until the 4s launched because getting my hands on a 4 when it first launched wasn’t a good plan because I knew it was mid-cycle. The 4s was my first (after getting an iPad 2 which made me an Apple man) but the 12 Pro Max has been my last. The 13 is great but I for the first time every since I have owned an iPhone, I have not felt the urge to upgrade.

What apple did with phone carriers was just incredible.

Before the Iphone, different carriers had different phone models, and the carriers determines the functions of the phone allowed. anyone remember the Telus LG phones? Apple contacted a few companies and said, look, we have this breakthrough phone device, but you need to do things our way, and a few companies laughed at them, but eventually one listened, AT&T.

Once they had the Iphone, so many people flocked to them for that phone, that other companies have to retaliate and agree to Apple’s terms. Every company had to offer essentially the same thing, and apple lead that charge.

I recall thinking that the first iPhones (1, 3G, and 3GS) were “excellent, but…” because something was lacking to complete the picture. Then came the iPhone 4, which was a fully evolved phone. When I bought it, everyone who saw it was startled, far more than they would be now if they saw a 13 Pro Max 1TB. It includes all of the features of a modern phone, including a selfie camera, flash, games, a beautiful display, and a small size.
