i switched to Samsung Galaxy phones after iPhone 4s. But I still ended up buying the iPhone SE 2. but i couldnt get used to it again, so i donated it and went back to Galaxy S9 plus.

Sorry, all this latest and greatest is pure BS. Google is straight up evil. Their habit of artificially excluding older phones from critical apps etc. (and the fact that if you sideload them they work every bit as well as with a brand spanking new flagship, sometimes even better, proves that all the claims about them being “not compatible” are outright lies) is unforgivable. And changing things just to change them, while never fixing bugs, is the worst kind of malevolence.

But the worst thing of all is that Google is still better than Apple, and there just isn’t any other option.

It’s way past time for a truly open source Linux phone. But those projects have a way of suddenly disappearing…

The antenna bands aren’t where the signal comes out of, they are insulators that keep the metal rails from touching because the rails are the actual antennas, the reason the 4 was having issues is because your hand would bridge the gap between two different antennas causing attenuation problems. Apple still incorporates the antennas into the metal rails of iphones except they use PVD coatings that not only give the stainless steel color but actually act as an insulator from your hands…
