Not upgrading phone design too early is actually a good technique
The waste chassis for precious gen come in use and are not contributing to the non degradable bio-waste.

I have the 8 and I wish apple would make smaller phones or at least smaller cameras😭 but I’m probably gonna get the 13 soon

My iPhone 6s was my favorite. My first iPhone was the 5. All the iPhones I’ve owned 5, 5s, 5c, 6s, 6s plus, xr, now a 12 pro.

I think there is an error in the storage graphic. They didn’t jump from 128gb to 512gb in the 8 and X, they had the 256gb version. Also in some other models I think.
Great video anyway! It’s impresive how Apple sets certain standards to other phone companies and society in general.

I was in like 6th grade when the original iPhone came out, and I remember as a freshman in high school when the Iphone 4s came out, I had a blackberry storm, my best friend had a Sidekick, and my crush got a 4s, and we had a substitute teacher that we dubbed, “the cool sub” in fourth period Spanish, and since it was a “we’re not doing anything today” we talked about the 4s and siri and android vs iphone. Then in 10th grade when the 5s came out when it had a fingerprint lock that was when we entered the “modern era” or as it was known the “new era”. I still have an iphone and an android, but I’ve got the Iphone 12 pro, and will get the 13 pro max in Feb. 2022, and my android is still an LG G7.

Cool video! Small nit—on the screen size chart, you label the first years correctly at 3.5”, but the data points fall on the 3” line.

It’s fun to see how the phones have evolved over the years in one video. My history: 3Gs, 4, 5, 6, 7, X. I still love my X! Don’t know when I’ll upgrade. I bought a fujifilm 100xf camera a few years back so I wouldn’t feel like I had to upgrade my smartphone to get great pictures. That’s made a huge difference in allowing me to sit on my X longer. Maybe when the phone is all screen or 5G is truly an upgrade in user experience, I’ll consider making a change.
