A couple of thing needed to be mention; with the iPhone 5S and 5C was the first time Apple launching two phones at the same event and don’t forget to mention the 7S product RED.

I can still recall asking some random kid in the library if i could see his iphone 5 cuz that was the first time they increased the screen size/aspect ratio.

Oh man, i remember buying my first iPhone (the iPhone 5.) I skipped the iPhone 5s/c and 6. I bought the iPhone 6s+ in rose gold and i believe it came with 64GB. (I actually wanted to wait for the iPhone 7 but my battery was so bad at that time that i couldn’t keep it anymore, so i had to buy the 6s+). Yes, i waited this long! But my patience was to be rewarded! I waited for the next big thing and that, was of course the iPhone X. There were a lot of rumors back then. I don’t even remember if the notch was talked about in the rumors or not. I do believe that it did but no one believed that Apple would make such phone. In the beginning a lot of haters of the notch, (well, still kinda do) and just a lot of nay-sayers in general. I actually didn’t care as much and even watched Youtube video’s full screen at times.

Right now, i have still my iPhone X. It still works great for me (except for the battery, yes, again the battery. But after all those years, i think i did alright!) So i went from iPhone 5 to 6s+ to x. I think that’s not too bad! Now i’m thinking about upgrading to 13. It has (almost) everything that i want. Smaller notch, really great camera’s (and that macro lens is really really fun to use!) 120Hz display (which i was really waiting for.) And ProRes video etc. Also that new feature, not sure how it’s called but where the camera focus on you and when you look away it focus on the other person or whatever is in the frame is also really nice!

Anyway, the only thing missing now (for me anyway,) is no camera bump and no more notch. I do like the square design! Remembers me of my iPhone 5 which i really liked!

iPhone 6S and 6S Plus (released September 2015) are the oldest phones that currently support iOS 15, not the 1st Gen SE (Released March 2016).

I’ll have to search for it somewhere, but I literally commeted on one of your videos that “my perfect iPhone would be an iPhone X with iPhone 4 principals”. I left iPhone after the 7 because I wanted a high end phone (all the features) of the Plus/Max, but the smaller form factor. After two years I gave up waiting and jumped ship to OnePlus. That ofc is year they released the 12 XD. I’m quite happy to back back with Apple.

3gs was my first smartphone. Had it from 2010-2012. I jailbroke it and when it was time to upgrade I went android. That was my only iphone until my current iphone 12. Actually that first android phone I got after my 3gs was also how I ended watching my first ever mkbhd video “HTC One X Review!

He didn’t mention that Steve Jobs died right around the launch of iPhone 4S. That’s significant because people were panning the 4S as crap. Everyone thought sales would be dismal. Then out of the blue (seemingly) Steve died. Shock! All the critics were forced into silence out of respect. And people bought 4S … in droves. As a show of respect to Steve? Maybe. Maybe not. But his passing at that moment really changed the narrative and the rest is history.
