What does the 1996 date mean in the intro? It’s 1996/2007/3118 (I can’t really tell what the bottom set of numbers is.)

I bought the first iPhone in the sweet spot of the release window; after they dropped the price to like $400 i think but before they added chips to prevent jailbreaking and unlocking the phone.

Respect. Seriously. There are other brands you can try to have such a comparison amidst their line up. OnePlus phones would be a great example. Or some series within a particular smartphone brand, like a samsung S or Note series.

I wasn’t sure if I was going to watch this whole video because I branched from Apple when I got the Motorola Droid, but damn if I didn’t start getting nostalgia when you mentioned the announcements and issues with each phone 😅

The original YouTube app icon was killer as well! Bring back the old icon Apple!

Really miss one handed phones. Was fortunate enough to live through the Nokia years and early iPhones and current phones really make you appreciate how easy older devices were to handle. Hope the trend comes back in some way.

Started myself with an iPhone 3G…upgraded through 3GS, 4, 5 and finally 6 before moving out of the Apple garden into the Android universe 😆

I remember the time looooong before the iPhone and what came after…pretty legendary UX and UI wise.

Can’t believe what stuff we take for granted today. And it has only been like 14 years. Imagine what another 14 will bring into the tech world.
