400 bucks? Seriously?? I made it 30 seconds and then clicked to see price. It’s nice but not 400 nice.
This is essentially a space saver. It’s the same thing, in terms of functionality, when I connect my Air to my monitor via HDMI or DP. A few extra ports and a MagSafe place for an iPhone isn’t enough to justify the price tag, I’m sorry.
I will look elsewhere.
I like the concept, but it’s ugly and too expensive for as ugly as it is.
Why the hell does any dock need 3 usbA ports
Lose a monitor. Seems like pain. OWC is better. No HDMI. So with the Air you are stuck with a single monitor. Are the USB A’s 3.1 or 3.2?
That design takes a beautifully engineered MacBook (and iPhone) and turns them into an abhorrent carbuncle of clumsy atrocious design – sorry I tried to find something positive but was blindsided by the 400 price tag – get a standalone dock and nice stand!
huh…..good for office, not good for ‘home’
That thing is butt ugly! Previous gens of their docking stations look real nice. This however has missed the mark. Plus the price is outrageous! We pay premium for Apple Products and premium accessories but not $400!
Did they give it to you to keep or do you have to return it?
Price point is too steep. Take the phone charger features off too lower the price and footprint and you might be on to something. Why does everything need to consider the phone charger?
I was going to ask why you didn’t mention the price. And then I saw the price. LOL
Where hdmi? 😢
Loved it til I saw the price.
What’s the SD card reeder spec?
Really?!
Hit 120k$ today. Thank you for all the knowledge and nuggets you had thrown my way over the last months, Started with 14k$ in January 2022👍
Be much better if it had a HDMI port. When at home I love a two monitor setup for Photoshop and premier pro. This would make no sense for me. And then that price. 😬
Why does it kinda feel flimsy and about to break anytime soon? I honestly feel like people would still prefer docking the macbook horizontally and take the dongle cable tradeoff anytime anyday
The price is a bit steep though, maybe it drops to 200 then I might consider it, I’m just kinda scared about if the macbook ever fall down and bend the black cover with the type c ports inside it lol 😂
These used to be a Godsend back in the day. It cleaned up your workspace by not only docking the laptop vertically but cleared up all the mess of cables that came before type-c. Being able to route them right from the dock.
Now that Thunderbolt Type-C can reduce all that to one cable… It seems pointless… Just get any other dock with the ports you need.
400 dollars and it doesn’t even have a MagSafe charger. Companies thinking misspelling words means you can rip off buyers just because they bought an apple product should be condemned not featured
