I am happy I ordered the Dell XPS 2019 after a deep dive comparison with the new MacBook Pro 16″. Totally overpriced, I don’t like at all basically no interfaces any longer. Terrible strategy. Waste.

I have an early 2015 macbook pro and looking to upgrade as the old girl is struggling to run my game dev programs, and can barely keep up on running small-scale games without feeling like it’s on fire lmao
I’m wondering if I should take a chance with the 16″MBP here.. (of course it’ll take me a while to save up for it :P)

I got my 16 inch a week ago and i notice a clicky sound when I open it, like right before the Apple logo pops up. Is it normal? does that happen to any of you? I don’t remember it happening on my 15 inch.

I have had the pleasure of owning my MacBook Pro 16inch for a week now, and I would have to agree that its the best MacBook Pro, or better yet Apple Product I have every owned. Now, again that is only my personal opinion, so the final verdict is up to you the reader of this opinion. This is the first device that I have owned of this caliber, coming from a MacBook Pro 13inch 2016 base model. My previous Macbook Pro served me well throughout my graduate program, but when this device came out and I continued to watch review after review to help ensure i was making the right purchase, i grabbed one.
The Model I went with is the base model 16 inch i7 model. the reason I went with the base model was due to my needs in my device. I use the 16inch primarily for work, which means i use it for browser surfing, reading excel spreadsheets and creating them, powerpoint, word processing, and light gaming. So because my needs are base, the model i went with is base.
When i started reading views, watching review videos, I began to realize that the individuals i was relying on to help myself make the best decision for myself are individuals who have access to the latest and greatest on the daily. So for me to base my decision on someones opinion, who all they know is filet mignon, would not be the wisest choice.
So instead, i started to think about my needs and what I would be using the device for. Then the reviews i watched, and read were then based on my needs instead of getting caught up in things I really didn’t need to add and I am happier for it.
So when i say that the MacBoook Pro 16 inch is the best machine that Apple has ever made, that opinion is based on my needs and how well this device satisfies those needs 🙂
What sold me in the end, was from a review from Dave2D, he had pointed out that the cooling on this device was based on a design that Apple will not be changing for a while, and out of the devices i tried out before arriving to my MacBook Pro 16, this by far cools the best. Also, another mention from Dave2D, is that the MacBook Pro 16 is the most powerful device that can be charged via USB C, so for someone who travels a lot or will be in the future, that right there is very important!
If you have been waiting for the best MacBook Pro, this is it 😉
