I liked the Gen2 much better. It is way clearer than Gen1. I used Gen 1 a while ago and didn’t understand the fuss about them, since I didn’t like them that much, they sounded like any other headphones. Looking forward to Gen 2.

Gen 2 sounded like the Sony xm4, much more bassy and fuller, clarity on the highs something like that

A small difference in sound quality? What? Maybe it doesn’t sound like that to you when they are in your ears, but in your sound test at least, it is an absolutely massive difference.

Although more clear, Apple still seems to evaluate sound far wrong. The bass is still super muddy instead of tight, the mids are okay, but the highs (i.e. when a vocalist pronounces their S’s and T’s) are still scratchy and sound like they’re saying SH’s and CH’s instead.

Still very subpar from natural studio sound.

P.S. I’m listening to this video with a pair of Sennheiser HD560S Headphones. And I guarantee, you’re better off going with the Sennheiser IE100 Pro which is $100 cheaper and yet keeps the bass tight and controlled, and is naturally more spacious, even without the Dolby Atmos software.

I’m not being unfair. This is just the reality of how stupid people can be when it comes to evaluating how sound ought to actually sound. Trust me. When the bass is tight instead of muddy, that’s when you can truly feel it without it overwhelming the other frequencies.
