‘optimized for specific architecture’ WRONG => It is BUILT for x86
the word OPTIMIZED is being so abused by these ‘tech’ youtubers
“Intel x86, who knows what that means?” – not only Ali, but also like literally everyone who isn’t too much of a geek who needs to flex mugging up geek bench scores of AMD Ryzen cores
Love how upfront you are!!! Makes me even more interested to listen to all of the video
Hello could you make a video about working pensions and investing in the uk and what should you do once you got your first job and explain a bit of what type of research we should do so we can invest our 9-5 money
Just out of interest how much RAM does the MacBook Air have that you’ve reviewed.
I might be considered an apple computer fanboi. But despite the great advancements the processor I still feel it is not the best idea to buy this computer or the MacBook Pro M1. It´s a lot of hype, that can force us buyers to think that we need a new computer, when in truth we don´t. I have a maxed specs MacBook Pro Mid 2015, and there is really no justifiable reason to switch depite the new computers being faster. If you have an older computer and it still works well, or just requires some maintenance just keep using it until it doesn´t work anymore. Otherwise we are just part of this endless loop of consumerism.
As a writing professional, I’m going to get the M1 13″ Pro with basic storage and 16GB memory. The Air does seem to be a great machine though. The slightly better screen and speakers – together with the active cooling – still give the Pro the edge for my usage.
Post the hyped-launch event Apple have given access to key staff to explain some of the new key design and one interesting points was the RAM where 8/16 is not the same as independent RAM units, leading to the extrapolation that 8GB RAM on M1 equates to more than 8GB RAM on Intel due to the integrated technology. Guess someone will eventually (dis)prove it.
Absolutely Loved the Video Ali! 💜
Would you recommend a 16GB RAM Air over an 8GB RAM Pro?
A doctor’s laptop is sick?! 😀 I think it’s super healthy this time round 😀
Would you recommend this laptop for coding? Or is the Pro better? I’m afraid that the Air with no fan could go slower with several intensive tasks, but then with the M1 it doesn’t really take that much energy like the previous MacBooks. Someone let me know!
Worrying when a doctor says the laptop is sick
mate every cpu has a fan haha! what you mean it has no fan? that is so funny
I’m kind of a “pro user” in that I’m a software developer and sometimes edit videos, but I’m probably still going for the MacBook Air. First, it’s a bit lighter than the Pro, even if not by much. Second, it has proper function keys instead of the Touch Bar. I haven’t used the Touch Bar, but I’ve heard so many bad things about it that I don’t think I want it. Also, even if I happen to need sustained performance where the Air will throttle, the throttling seems to be fairly minor (and even throttled it will still be faster than almost any Intel MacBook ever made). So excited about these machines and the future of Macs!
Ali your beard looks *sus* .I will not mind if you shave it hehe 🙃🙂😁.
Ali can u pls make a video about which online application a med student should use from the so many available like lectori, amboss, prepladder etc etc
what if Ram or Hard drive breaks 🤔… buy a new one ?😅😅😅
put video on m1 chip mac pro
you should do other tech vids other than apple lol
