What is apple doing with their batteries? I am looking for a new phone and a new laptop at the moment. I am currently using ancient tech because I like to use tech until they stop working. I currently have a 10 year old MacBook and a 5 year old i-phone 5S. They both still work for the most part.
I am hearing that the new i-phone 12 will have reduced battery capacity and from this video it sounds like they are doing the same on the laptop side. It seems like Apple is creating more powerful devices without upgrading battery performance at all.I am not a tech expert. However, it seems baffling to me that there appears to be the technology available to have long lasting batteries in apple products that do not overheat that Apple is intentionally running away from. Any thoughts from linus or other experts?
This new LTT intro is so awesome, kudos to the staff who designed it
Ridge wallet looks sleek and cool and all that but the hells are you finna keep that spare change??? (coins)
the fact that the Air sits at 100C throughout the test is just sad considering it only really needs to cool like 10-15Watts of power
I’m planning to purchase the Macbook pro 13 2020 base model but I’m hesitating a little. as a social media manager, I use Canva a lot and have many tabs open when I’m doing research for content, with music (spotify/youtube) playing in the background. So I was wondering if these daily activities would affect the temperature too much?
the T2 chip is pretty powerful…
My wife’s been using macbook pro 2020 13” for long enough now to vouch for it getting super hot, like unpleasantly hot. It does have fans but it’s very shy of using them, I was told Mac Fan Control app solves this problem entirely so gonna try that out. It’s really the only issue on this otherwise fantastic device but it’s a serious one if you plan on using this thing while travelling.
This is Apple’s focused “coder” machine. You only need relatively short bursts of full performance while compiling. Unless you’re compiling millions of lines of code – in which case you’re using a genuine workstation. This is not a video editing, autocad or similar visual heavy workload tool. Wasn’t built for that purpose…. or gaming either…
Me watching this on a 2020 13 inch MacBook Pro…. 😳
I got a 2019 MacBook Pro and I’m so exited this is my first MacBook

Would this laptop in the lower version (lowest processor, GB, RAM, etc.), be okay to launch Blender, (3D programming system)? My friend uses a MacBook Air 2018 to work on Blender and she says it works amazing so shouldn’t the 2020 version be okay, or even better? I did hear that it can get kind of hot when launching heavy programs but I assume that it would be okay if there was only one tab open. Also, I don’t play heavy games but does anyone know if it can launch roblox without much lag? Please answer all these questions I’m very confused.
