Honestly, CPU temps do not matter as much as keyboard and bottom chassis temps.

Why are you comparing the base model XPS 13 to the higher end MacBook Pro 13. The price is more similar to the lower end MacBook Pro, the one with only 2 thunderbolt ports.

the nice microphones for videoconference are useless if the machine boil-crashing during zoom or teams screen sharing…. nothing demanding I thought; only power point during 1 h call. no pro this MacBook Pro and I am talking 4 thunderbolts, 10th gen. CPU….

The MacBook may have £150 of “Apple Tax” but with the Dell you’re going to have to pay £60 a year (yes, every year!) or £120 one-off for 365 Personal just to open a damn powerpoint!

I have been using this laptop for 2 weeks now. Just as you open the lid, the MBP does not respond i.e. the trackpad and the keyboard doesn’t work for about 20-30 seconds. I have installed the latest Mac OS Catalina 10.15.6, reinstalled the software, logged in as a new user, done with the safe boot, reset NVRAM and SMC also. Nothing seems to work. I have contacted apple also regarding the same, they have told me to get the device to the nearest service centre. I am really annoyed now, because I spent a lot of money in this laptop. I have a 6 year old MBA, that laptop has never had any problem so far even with the latest MacOS.

You guys tend to forget about one important user base here which is the developers. Making comparisions for your use case which is gaming and videos is pretty much nothing in this world. Cheers

I feel sad for Intel here, amazing 10nm chips with powerful iGPUs wasted on horrible MACs.

Very good quadcore APUs .
