Imma keep it real, even if the glyph interface isnt ‘useful’, I freaking love it. I don’t feel like everything in a phone has to be purely functional, just so long as it doesn’t get in the way of the experience.

I’m not too fussed about the glyph lights, but I really do think there is a market for Android phones that have very well optimised and supported software experience that is free from bloat, gimmicks, over the top animations, incessant tracking and pushing of the manufacturer’s ecosystem e.g. all the Samsung services. Imo if they ditched the glyph gimmick and used a higher end chipset it would be very appealing.

Back before android, phones are all the same as for as their usage conditions.. but their difference shown on the design and that’s why nokia had over 100+ designed same phone. Design is not a priority for most of us now because the plain display and glass back.. only some phones try to make unique designs now and they also can only do at the back, that is also covered by a case…
So basically all phones looks the same if u open it in a crowd. People more fond of the spec sheets now.. rather than designing.. so refreshing design make something difference among all boring phones.. Nothing tries to do that while using this trick getting stonks.. However if they took it seriously rather than just a marketing attention, i will also consider buying Nothing phone in future.

The 778G is just a terrible chipset for that price. Regardless of the other factors, feeling like it’s fast is not the same as it actually being fast.

Man they really should have put a Snapdragon 870 in for the price. Like why make a custom midrange chip for the same price? Unless they are planning on launching a flagship next year..
