Love this format. Exceptional week scripted marketing disguised as an ‘honest’ review. Notice he’s very complimentary about Apple because he knows they’re not his competitor. He just wants to be in the same conversation to give the impression that as a brand they’re on a par. Notice in his Samsung reviews he is very critical, same design, no imagination, all things you could level at Apple, but don’t. It a neat trick to sell you a brand that’s the cool kid and Apple of the android world, even the phone looks like an Apple.

This “reviewing other company’s products” is a series I’m really enjoying and would love to see more. Carl’s very down to earth and honest take on what others are doing in a similar product category to Nothing is really refreshing coming from a CEO of the company, something I can’t say I’ve ever seen anyone else do at his position. The very real and honest way he compares aspects of the rival brands product to theirs is great to see. I wouldn’t say he is biased towards Nothing’s offering but it is obvious he likes certain aspects to their approach to the ear(1), ear(2) over the AirPods Pro 2 in this video but I don’t hold that against him and it’s to be expected, it is of course what they created and put time and resources into so nothing about that is a surprise.

Really looking forward to the phone(2) and how it holds up to other 2023 flagships. We still have the usual fall 2023 flagships due to come out from the big hitters Samsung, Apple and Google, in that order (Samsung’s is a foldable which of course the phone(2) won’t directly compete against). It will be exciting to see what it will have to offer.

You know what would make me really happy? if we would let apple just die off…

1. Since 2016 they have been soldering the SSDs onto mac motherboards making it almost impossible to repair or upgrade.
2. They are also selling their storage options at 4x the price compared to any SSDs on the market.
3. They took out the headphone jack when the iphone 7 came out and soon after , they released their Wireless airpods at 200-250$ (the wired ones were 20-25$) BRO … 10x the price just cause they were wireless? and most of the industry followed them by removing the Jack instead of standing their ground
4. It’s 2023 and if you buy an 1800$ top of the line iPhone , you get their shit lightning port (USB2.0 Speeds). Mind you , USB2.0 came out in April of 2000. Idiotic.

apple is dead to me. I just bought a Lenovo Legion Pro 5i and soon enough i’ll be tossing my iphone Xr where it belongs ( in the garbage) :X.

Bluetooth ear phones does offer convenience but I prefer wired ones
1. Better microphone on wired earphones
2.Less latency on wired earphones
3.Less Bluetooth radiation on wired earphones

Can’t you guys make the noise cancelling and transparency better via updates,especially transparency.

And don’t you think you should make a pro version? Better features and sound?

I have many more ideas I think I should be recruited your profit will know no bound and you be at the fore front of innovation.

Born with one functioning ear. Obviously I listen to music in mono if using buds or earphones. When will all control be on 1 side ( left or right in settings) so I don’t have to wear the other one, also often there are other reasons to only put 1 on.

This is marketing. And it’s working but the AirPods Pro are leagues ahead of the Nothing Earbuds. There is no comparison. Many off brand headphones I’ve tried that are half the cost of the nothing earbuds are also better. Apple made a quality product and Nothing made a money grab.
