I think 14 inch macbook pro base varient at ~2L is better value than m2 MacBook air top varient at ~1.5L

I was Excited about the new M2 MacBook Air but for now I think Dell’s Inspiron 14 (12th gen i5, 16 GB Ram, Nvidia MX570 would be a good deal for me this year at 78K price

I will be buying macbook air m2 as now i am going to college for first time and i need a laptop
So i thought instead of buying m1 why not m2 as it is a one time investment for atleat 4 years of my college.
Base variant of m2 is enough.

Instead of upgrading to 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD on Mac Air M2, one could buy a Macbook Pro 14″. The base variant has M1 Pro chip, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SDD, XDR display, wider screen, better battery and so many ports.

Meh, just skip everything and buy M1 Pro MacBook 14 base variant. You’ll get 16/512 configuration by default and much faster cpu and gpu haha, screen is somewhat the same and you’ll end up getting magsafe, better battery backup and in the end a much more powerful machine which clearly gives more value over the Air M2.

Just purchased M1 today from amazon for around 73k including exchange and bank offer. I am just a regular user using office tasks and watching YouTube and Netflix and stuff so I think M1 is a better option for me rather than spending a good chunk of money on M2. With that extra money I can go for 3 years apple care.
