I also just switched from android (never switched before) to IOS recently so… what a perfect timed upload :/ for me tho, I love both os, Iphone is built sooo well, that the reason I picked it up is that on the store where I held the demo, Iphone just built better than all the other Android device, I love airdrops, Imessage, the haptics like when you’re scrolling something it feels like you really scrolling something (lol), and ofc optimization is king (60hz was never been this smooth guys)… but Eber is true, where Android is just more customizable… truly the one thing that I miss from Android is that I can change my custom dns on chrome aand, just be able to download youtube videos and other apks easily
it just works
My last iPhone was iPhone 7, after I switched I thought I wouldn’t come back to it for a long time, but after 3 years with a S9+, I was due to an upgrade and was looking for stock Android experience, but Pixel 6 was disappointing, so started to get the idea of getting the iPhone again. 5 months with the 13 Pro, no regrets, love everything, battery is fantastic, camera more than enough for what I use and the experience is pretty much flawless. Sure I miss some details from Android, but there are other details that I’m glad I have it again with iOS.
Really nice video mate, great job
You should use iphone 5 with ios9 bro it good performance to use
I feel this video could be quite a bit shorter and I feel that it focuses on the wrong things at times. Explaining Face ID and other basic iPhone features seems a bit weird. Hearing more about how it is to live with Google services on iOS, or how the move away from Google would be interesting, but it is barely touched upon.
The eco system IOS offers for a family is amazing and unmatched.
This is my first iPhone too ..I use cycling gloves and I really disappointed in screen touch sensitivity almost every time I need to take them off but on in all I really like it
I used to love the customization on Android devices and only had Windows Computers. Then started learning graphic design in school and had to use iMacs a lot. There were some struggles, but the machines just worked. I came to a point where I had the means and all I wanted was for it to simply work, so I ended up switching to iPhone. Now I’m invested in the ecosystem, but have noticed it becoming easier and easier to use third party solutions. Still use a Windows gaming rig and Windows for work, and man. Doing custom stuff is frankly easier on my MacBook.
Still miss custom stuff on the iPhone like simply changing the icons, though it’s a price worth to pay.
Another thing about Apple devices is their resell value. The entry price is high, but you get a lot of your money back when you sell. That allows you to upgrade more often. If you are smart you sell a couple of weeks before the new generation launches, and then upgrade to a used newer gen or buy the newest.
Apple can just go fuck off the planet, and please as quickly as possible
I switched from IOS years ago. Around the 4/5. I’ve wanted to give the platform another shot, but that Lightening connector has been a deal breaker for me. I’d also be looking at a Pro (Max?) model, for Pro Motion, and that better battery life. I don’t really care about iCloud, as I won’t really be using it. I have my own network storage that I back up data to (working on iPadOS). If the iPhone 14 finally gets USB-C, and has an updated CPU (so not just a rebrand), I’d jump on it. I don’t really care about the cameras. I think it’s gotten the point where the normal person doesn’t really notice much of a difference between modern top tier phones.
The 13 pro is also my first.
I was basically just waiting for ios to catch up with widgets and have a proper battery + high refresh rate.
I miss some customization, like just placing items on the homescreen wherever u want. But it’s working just fine.
This is exactly me 1 year back. Been a big Android/Microsoft fan my entire life but I couldn’t take the subpar experience and keep supporting Google year after year. Last year made the switch and within 1 year, all my devices except Google Home is on Apple platform
.
Masked face recognition? Scary..
Lightning connector sucks, come on Apple. It’s such a deal breaker that I would never have purchased the iPad Air 5 if it had lightning, not even kidding.
I switched from getting galaxy flagships every year to 12 pro and never looked back. IOS is so damn smooth.
Congratulations on going to the dark side of Apple Ebert.
It’s a good platform. If it wasn’t then they’d go out of business. I personally like having all these features that spread across multiple devices.
See you in the next Apple video, I mean video.
the physical port is weaker on usb-c vs lightning. But yes lightning needs an upgrade of some sort not sure why Apple hasn’t figure out a way to make it better
Where did you get the custom icons?
I noticed you said you can reply to iMessages on your mac. I am not sure if you knew this but there is a setting you can turn on in your iPhone Messaging settings that is called Text Message Forwarding that allows regular text messages as well.
