19:18 Just use iTunes and import your own ringtone files, it’s really not that hard. I have custom ring tones, alarm tones, and text tones.

idk about all of this, YEAH IT’S GOOD and all but compared to android ?

Instead of spending 800€ to put myself in jail i can spend 200 on a xiaomi. Have everything the iphone has but in a better version.

Xiaomi is thinner, small punchhole display, maybe the iphone is gonna look like that in 10 years.
Faceid is cool, side mounted fingerprint sensor is better.
Apple is optimized better, androids make up for it by having better hardware, like battery + it could be much better if android catches up with OS and optimization
Camera is better on android
iphone users spend 800€ then go on to spend hundreds of hours watching only ads on youtube
android users can use modded youtube to have no ads+background playback or PiP (since 2014 aswell)
android has modded instagram where u can download pics or even stories with 1 tap
or other modded apps to improve the app in any way or get premium features for free
Androids can be used as a mic or webcam for your pc(idk if possible on iphone but it’s 10x easier on android since the OS doesn’t put you in jail, you can always count on some group having developed a modded app)
iphones may have workarounds or methods but it’s a more enclosed OS in general

Why tf would i pay more to have a shttier experience when android phones 1-up, or 10-up every aspect of iphones with ease ? The biggest reason why people buy iPhone is because it’s a fashion brand, that’s all. It’s the same as people starting to smoke because they don’t feel cool enough.

Literally every iphone user i interact with i clown them because they watch ads and all of them are amazed that on my phone i dont have ads and everything is basically 10x better.

if anyone wants to prove me wrong with the modded apps thing be my guest as i never researched them for iphone (dont bother commenting if it includes jailbreak). Only in the USA iphones have an OK price. still high but not ridiculous. Everywhere else, the price is really bad and the rest of the world uses whatsapp anyway so you arent forced onto imessage anyway

Would just like to point out a couple of things

1) As pretty much everyone else pointed out, the flashlight brightness adjust is in the control centre by holding its icon
2) The 2x zoom in the default camera app doesn’t lock it to the telephoto lens. Combined with the other points you mentioned, the default app is pretty anemic. I’d recommend using a third-party app for the camera then it is really powerful

Also if you’re already used to big phones, is there a reason for not going to the Pro Max?

2 reasons i would get an iphone is, battery life / face id .
Unfortunately it’s not enough reasons to let go android, it just offers so much more fun stuff.

Pity they did not decide to go a bit thicker to add more battery capacity and cooling prowess with the added cubature. Then the battery life could have been better… That and the lightning to USB-C especially in USB4 guise could have made it Pro 😉 At least Apple still attempts to accomodate fans of small devices…

I don’t care much either way anymore (to me both OS’s simply have their own version of everything at this point) but I do like apples offering better now that I kept the same phone 5 years and it was still getting updates.
I realized a while ago that all I do with my phone is takes pictures, text, browse and tweet so I don’t need the highest specs of a 500-1000$ device every year.
Because apple makes their cut on App Store sales they’re happy to keep support up for older devices to keep their customers from jumping fence.

I changed to an iPhone 12 mini because of the mini form factor. The lightning connector is stupid but hasn’t been an issue for me since I don’t transfer large files and I only use MagSafe. Being forced to customize through shortcut workarounds sucks but at least it’s there. The ecosystem is seductive. I got the latest iPad Air and the ease of setup was incredible. The iPhone 12 mini has bad battery life but I don’t leave the house much so it’s not much of an issue.

How do you deal with file management and interaction with Windows PCs and external storage media?

And don’t you think that we tolerate the weakness of iPhones/iOS more? Imagine if Android started to become locked down and started taking away users choice. There would be a revolt.
Already Google is facing heat for removing call recording, which is virtually impossible on iPhones.

So happy to see this as I’m in the same boat, just switched to iphone 13 Pro Max earlier this year. Overall happy but yeah that lightning port is infuriating. Literally every other device I use on a daily basis charges with type-C. Hoping this EU thing results in a type-C iphone
