I left apple on the iPhone 4S, 11 years ago, just recently got a used 12 Pro as main phone, really impressed, and suits my content production needs, wish I could upgrade to this 13 pro for better video and small details. Also, I’m waiting on a used MacBook Air m1, never used macOS before, going to be a challenge. Although I still don’t appreciate apple as a company that much, since the 12pro and m1 chips they finally became worth again in my opinion and use. Cheers from Brazil! 🤘⚡
The flashlight brightness is adjustable, and the default is 50%. You can enable full brightness through Control Centre by holding on the Flashlight icon.
They keep Lightning around for its durability since the biggest failure point of USB-C is the pogo pin whereas the biggest failure point of Lightning is dust compaction, which is easily fixed.
AirDrop uses WiFi Direct, and WiFi 6 has speeds comparable to USB 3.0, so AirDrop would be better than Lightning if you’re using a Mac.
I’ve been considering switching to Apple because of my frustration with the phones and computers over the years, but then… lightning port, terrible app store policies, right to repair shenanigans and removal of features (I require a headphone jack unless they paid me to add Bluetooth to everything I own) and it’s just a continuous push pull of frustration on one side and on the other side
My iPhone 13 pro battery life experience is a lot worse ever since iOS 15.4/15.4.1 come along. In average I lost around 1 hours screen on time. Before the update I can comfortably end my day with 5-20%, depends on how heavy I use it, and I can always work my way to finishing my day with just 1 charge. Now it just past the point where I need to start worrying about the battery life at 5pm.
….No close all button, in a 1,000 dollar phone….Say that with a straight face 5 times.
I have been a note user for the past 5 years and recently upgraded to the s22 ultra;
Apple or Android if it wasn’t for the stylus I would have jumped to Apple. I use both Apple, windows, android heck even Linux in school.
All I can say is if you want some quick, no fuss, and seamless go Apple; the moment you start digging deeper android( and windows ) will have way more flexibility and user customization
I won’t say the flashlight in the iphone 13 is useless in dark situations bro. Thats a bit of a stretch.
Is that just me thinking that there is lot of MKBHD influence in the flow and delivery of that video!
The only reason Apple is still using lighting is because money
The 10 pro max costs almost 2000 USD in India after taxes lol
Tried a 13 pro Max for about 4 months, miserable, hated it, right back to oppo/oneplus for me.
The 13 pro is a bit too small for me. I would spend the extra money for the pro max
13 pro is also my first iphone. I love it but I am very disappointed with screen scratches. I never had to used screen protector before. I do have apple clear case so there is lip around the screen but I still somehow got 2 deep small scratches out of nowhere. I never dropped it. I dont wear it with anything.
But the phone is great but ceramic shield… MY ASS
Please make a video about getting used to and how the apple ecosystem is. I’m planning to switch to apple as well for just the better quality of products and the technological leaps they’ve made.
I have to get up in the middle of the night for medical reasons. My S21 alarm failed to go off more than once, which was more than once too many times. After 10 years of being an Android user, I switched to the 12 Pro Max. I haven’t had an alarm fail to go off, or any other issues really, in over a year. There are limitations of this walled off ecosystem, enough that it’s frustrating. I get it, Apple is hilariously anti-consumer to a level that could reasonably be classified as contempt. But this phone works, and I need it to work without having to tweak it or factory reset periodically.
13 series is great. Upgraded to a 13 Pro Max for trade + $200 at Best Buy last winter, killer deal. Same reasons you mentioned, 120hz display + camera spec bump mainly. Given the aforementioned reasons for me switching, I don’t see myself going back to Google anytime soon. They are not the savior, their engineers suffer from the same altitude sickness inducing levels of arrogance as Apple, many people just don’t realize it yet.
I was waiting for a segway after that line, “You know what’s important?”
Good vid.
I recently switched to the 13 Pro from being a long time android user. My biggest gripe is notification handling. If i get the YouTube notification that your channel dropped a new video and go straight to the app, not interacting with the notification, the notification remains! Why not clear the notification like android? Ends up with a Notification Center filled with notifications that aren’t relevant anymore. Also, clearing a notification will leave the badge on the app … why? If i clear the notification, the badge should clear as well. Backwards 😅
Also, an EASY every other day charge phone (for my use). Battery is awesome.
I was a life long android user for about 10 years. i used best samsung, motorolla, google phones. but it was just a revelation for me when I switched to iPhone 13 pro last year. battery life is absurd even though Its battery is same or smaller than competitors. There was not one time I ever had even smallest stutter where as phones I’ve used turn into shit after one year or sooner especially samsung. Apps wont reset when you press home. it doesn’t matter if you open in while its in the background for 3 days, its exactly where you left it. Camera is better than anything I ever used. my airpod pro, MacBook, and iPhone synced so well, they seem like one device.
Airplay and air drop is godsend. texting from my computer is so seamless, do not disturb mode is automatically enabled and disabled across all my devices. I can copy a text from any of my devices and paste it on any of them. all these small things add up.
cons for me are: you cant place icons at the bottom of the screen where your thumb can easily reach, lack of youtube vanced(but there is an alternative), price(but you get what you pay for)
You can adjust flashlight intensity in the control center (top right) by holding flashlight icon, by default it’s set on medium intensity.
Maybe consider Sony xperia devices
