Guys who are confused between M1 air or M1 pro, please spend some time in the store trying it out, the touchbar comes really handy, trust me. And it’s better to have fan for sure.

M1 macbook is good but still in experimental stage, my m1 airs logicboard/motherboard just died last week, it was just 15 days old, if u search on net about m1’s logic board dead , you will find this as common problem, also the ssd is soldered to logicboard so all your data also go with it. If this happens withing 1 yr of purchase then u r lucky else you have to borrow repair cost of approx 500 usd 😔

Definitely the best portable laptop in the market if u don’t mind MacOS. This thing has 20+ hours backup while still being really powerful and portable

Third party hardware support is disaster. Logitech MX Master 3 for Mac is so slugish, that it can’t be used. Bluetooth or unifying, Logitech options or not. If you are using it without external display and peripherals it would be great, however this is what bugs me the most. When I am not on the go, I like big screen and better peripherals. This laptop is not there yet.

It’s truly awesome. Thought the RAM limit would be an issue but the swap memory design is almost flawless for most heavy sessions. Integrates nicely with my Apple products and the fact that I never hear it or feel the heat. I don’t think it’s went past 83 degrees since I’ve used it. Excited for what Apple does with the chipset moving forward.

Apple’s m1 chip uses 7 watts when idle, 31 watts with maximum load on a Mac mini, whereas Intel i7 Mac mini uses 20 watts when idle, 122 watts for maximum load!! M1 chip uses 5 nm manufacturing process.smaller m1 chip packs billions of transistors, uses less power, produces less heat, battery also runs for longer time!! Simply amazing!! Apple’s hardware & software will be well-integrated to bring out the best. Only downside is the astronomical price!!!
