AMD and Intel have a lot to catch up APPLE ? Are you good ? AMD 5900hx in a Razer Blade 14 with a RTX3070 will eat this laptop in productivity. . . Yes the M1 chip is a great design that will get better in future revisions but .. It is not the fastest CPU in a laptop. Period 😀

When you say it never gets hot, you have to take your location into perspective,
I live in Iraqy Kurdistan and the days in the summer get to 50+ Celsius easily.
And the electricity is not good either, so I want to know if it can survive in that kind of environment

I have to charge my M1 Mac every day since a macOS update a few months ago. I still get maybe 10 hours out of the battery but nothing like the outrageous claims of some of the superfans

It will be quite interesting if the new one that comes out in the next few months is worse in design than the one it replaces
Remember the old design is true and tested. The new design is in on charted territory

My backspace button is kind of stuck and the mouse cursor was stuttering right out of the box. My airpod pros wouldn’t connect until I updated the mac to the new version. Randomly crashes sometimes too. Other than that great laptop.

On the note of Python libraries, there are a few that need AVX instruction sets to compile or run, and Rosetta does not support AVX. So if you need libs that use AVX, you might want to hold off to see if they get a native version or if Apple will add support for AVX instruction sets.
