Very good Thanks
Hi, this is good to know information. Are the battery’s available to purchase? Isit the same battery as in the ’15 inch, retina macbook pros’? The mid 2015 retina battery, looks pretty similar.
no hdd. ssd. apple are such criminals if they cared about the environment it would be modular everything n easy to fix and access.
My macbook pro 14″ had a problem with speakers for that they had to replace entire front panel including keyboard thank god it came under warranty.
If you put the same display and finger ID reader back in the same case, do you still lose the touchID et al?
I’m curious if it’s possible to completely seperate the entire aluminium frame (for repair/spraying etc) without losing functionality.
Great teardown. But I would have loved to hear about the hinge and whether it can be tightened over time.
I love the shrek sound of the adhesive 😌👌❤ Hmm pure bliss.
someone correct me if im wrong, but isnt there a weird law that requires adhesives be used for multi cell lithium ion batteries if they go past a certain MHA, and demensions? i remember someone mentioning that as to why apple had to switch to using adhesives
they use plastic as front layer.
@6:05 “More on this M1 chip and it’s impact on repairability in just a minute.” Never mentions M1 chip repairability ever again. Nor RAM nor Storage. Everything on the motherboard and can’t be replaced / removed?

Socketed storage is there because of latency and power. YOU of all people should know that. But yknow. Whatever.

Love watching this video because in reality I am — and I am sure many are as well — scared to do them at home! LOL
That has got to be the best looking manufacturer applied thermal paste I’ve ever seen

you never mentioned the mic location
Hello IfixIT
Would you please help,
I used to keep my MBA almost 90% of time when using it connected to charger, but unfortunately , my MBA battery capacity dropped from 100% to 97% in less than 4 months with a cycle of 36 with only 5 cycles in 3 days!!
In 2nd October it was 100% capacity with 31 cycle
3rd October 98 % capacity 32 cycle
4th October 97% capacity with 33 to 35 cycles.
The problem really now is that the battery drains very very fast almost between 4 to 5 hours only while watching YouTube or movie, I don’t do heavy tasks or editing at all.
Thanks to provide your advice and view point?
Regards
What ifixit toolkit would you need for a full teardown like this please?
how do the fixit guys know how to tear it down without having an fixit video to look up?
