Unfortunately, the FlexGate issue is only addressed with a repair program 13″ and not the 15″ late 2016. Mine is suffering from it, but it seems Apple does not care at all.
show what is behind notch.
Why is the top deck space gray and the display silver?
“MacBooks Pro”? 👀
I feel like Apple is back. This is the kinda stuff they were coming out with in the mid 2000s. Genuine innovations.
Great video!
Everything is chiplocked, doubt removal anything is making any differences.
10:40 – MacBook Pro 16.2 Inch Score
Can I see the diaphragm on the air intake? Can cockroaches get in there? Thank you.
Wow 🤩 great 👍 thanks for the look underneath the hood
Why the designed is so “screwed”?
Did they really need that big of a notch? Was hoping to see behind it.
They really should make the ssd removable… I recently lost 4+ years of data because my Mac capacitor broke…
Fantastic explanation! And I really appreciate that the repairability score is dynamic as our understanding of the technology changes. Y’all are definitely a company I’m happy to keep supporting.
Doesn’t putting it in a frame constrict it from expanding? Leaving adhesive on one side with expansion space on the other as the only good option
Hey wait a minute! Did I miss the camera removal? Why such a large notch?
Laptop’s fall in between desktops and smartphones in that although they are larger than smartphones and are capable of being updated the vastly more compact design versus a desktop make them less suitable for modification than a desktop. Although Apple kind of reversed themselves in numerous ways going thicker than previous models a modern laptop isn’t going back to the bricks of old so space is always going to be limited. The segmented battery at first appears odd, but the chassis has ribs that stiffen the chassis and those ribs make a single segment battery impossible. The symmetry of those fans is quite aesthetically pleasing. For me, the only components I’d have wanted to be able to upgrade or replace are the SSD’s, the RAM and the battery. The unified memory make RAM upgrades pretty impossible and it appears the SSD is similarly fused to the MB in ways that make upgrading unlikely, but being able to replace the battery, the single component that might actually need to be replaced in time, is a good thing even if the actual replacement is somewhat less than easy.
Any new on if the Keyboard is replaceable? Our main repairs for Macbooks are battery, screen and keyboard / trackpad.
Swap fingerprint button lose Touch ID power.
Wat??
Okay, great. Always enjoy the tear downs.
Now put it back together, please.
You can do that, right?
