im planning to buy 16 macbook pro m1 pro model.. but when the apple announced m2 chip it made me wonder whether i should wait for 16 macbook pro m1 pro model or just get these one thats available (m1 pro model)…. any help is appreciated

I like how you just compared old macbook without speakers with this one when doing sound demo:)
I’m not video creator but a developer and i have huge doubt that it will work fast with things i do.
Now i’m using previous version 16 inch and is slow as shit. Nothing can compare to PC unfortunately.
I played on PC, i played on PS4/5. I worked a lot on PC and i worked a lot on MacBook Pro (doing it for more than 5 years already). I’m telling this so you know i understand what “smooth” feels like.
MacBooks are just feel slow, really slow comparing to PC. Even in places that they should not. But they are mobile and have great touchpad which makes the work comfortable. Also it is good for dev environment so lots of companies force to use it as a work machine.
I did not try M1 yet but i remember what Mac users telling about Macbooks’ performance. Unfortunately it is always not enough and far from what you call “smooth”.

Hope i will try M1 soon and it will surprise me.

I havent used mac before. But recently I started using the 2015 macbook pro. My friend has 2018 version. But damn, there is a huge difference in terms of quality. Newer keyboard feels cheap. And actually, many keys already do not work. But 2015 one is very solid, even though it is used, but all the keys are excellent. I wonder what is situation in m1 versions.

new M1 MacBook Pros – “16” and 14″ tonight. The body is squared off and thicker than my 2019 MBP. WHAT??? And it feels cheap, not like the former Airplane Grade aluminum. You knock on it and it feels hollow-ish. And the bottom feet are harder than previous models, almost like a cell phone case that is hard plastic and sort of hits the desk too hard. I am pretty disappointed. Why, Apple, Why?
