If You’d be so kind to run Windows on this (due to some apps simply not being on iOS i have to use two systems) and do some comparising with competition like i7 or 3050/60 that would be awesome. I know it will be mostly software,but at least i will have some raw comparising (right now i ditched 2015 macbook for razer 15) thanks! Great review!

They were really smart this year to going back to the basics and released a product that shows that. They needed to showcase a serious improvement, not just processor stuff. They take away all the ports and then in the future reintroduce it as an overall “full redesign”. M1 processor massive improvement and more ports. Bringing back a new design for the charge port as well.

lmao@ the browser refresh rate comment. its not running at 120hz — funny to see the placebo effect in action. very excited to get my MacBook in nov, but hate that the reviews are so bad.

Great Review though some recommendations. You really need to emphasize that this is not for the average person (hell maybe not for some creators). I know this laptop seems great but when you make the comparison between this and something like the razer 14 or 15 or the msi ge76 you got to explain the substantial price difference between the laptops because lets be honest 3099 for this kind of laptop (not even top spec) is a bitter pill to swallow for what is imo gain that are not large enough to justify or bringing back ports apple themselves removed in previous iterations of their laptops

So, if I don’t do any video editing, only CPU heavy tasks, such as coding with statistical programs such as R or Python, would the M1 pro 14inch be a good Option, or rather go for a ryzen based laptop?

Just ordered the base 16 M1pro and cannot wait. Been using 16GB M1 Mini past year and ever that was good enough for my workflow. Cannot wait to have that screen in my set up. Great video, new subscriber.
