I just got the base model 14″ (kind of silly to call something that costs $2000 a “base model,” but hey). I absolutely love it.

I hadn’t owned a MacBook Pro for ten years now. This seemed like the right time to come back.

I considered getting the 16″, but I’m honestly glad I went with the 14″. It’s plenty big for my needs, and I really don’t need more than the base 8 core M1 Pro.

I’m just thrilled that Apple is making great products again.

If I plan to only work in 1080p video until I can justify publishing in 4K, would a MacBook Pro be worth it at all? Or should I get a cheaper Air? I plan to make short video essays and long-form game reviews.

I use the 14 model and I love it. Coming from windows I had to do a real effort to get this up and running on this machine, but after that. Things does run smoother than on my previous windows laptop

I wish there was more competition out there for this thing, but imho nothing in the Windows world comes close at the moment. Just because I don’t like some of the choices that Apple makes, like not having a touchscreen.
