JerryRigEverything: “This is a computer, and computers break.”

Hmm, I see…
The best tool for the job. With a bunch of utility to go along with it now. Apple done well.
Is that at 0:31 Coconut Bay in St. Lucia? I was just there and that spot looks identical to it!
This video is so good! Wonderful as always Captain2Phones. The look of this laptop may be boring in comparison to some others but the build quality seems like its always gonna be great. Eventually i’m going to be able to buy a true laptop again (to replace my Pixelbook Go that I bought solely for writing. The keyboard is just so so good.) and i’m torn between this macbook for future content creation and waiting to see how the newest generation of Razer laptops will turn out. I’m hoping they’ll have the new 12th gen intel cpus or at least make a bigger better AMD model.
I would argue, the biggest selling point of MacBook Pros has always been “Performance on Battery Power”. In this area, Apple was already ahead of every other windows laptop back when they were still using Intel CPU + AMD GPU. Even the thickest 2-inch gaming laptop or the most expensive $5k+ business workstation drops performance to 30% when used on battery power. Now with the M1, this advantage alone makes Apple stand out with zero competitors in the whole arena.
I’m currently waiting for my 16” M1 Max to arrive through my new job (Senior Engineer in the Media Production industry). Admitedly I’m mostly a Windows guy personally, but most of my colleagues have Macbooks and we also use iMacs and Mac Minis at several stations too, so it’s a good idea for me to get used to troubleshooting on Mac as well. I honestly can’t wait for it to arrive, though I know I still probably have another couple months left.
8:43 That’s what she said.
No way Jose! it is admirable that it hurt so much in their pockets that they decided that they have to come back to the older config.
I got myself the maxed out M1 13 Inch and I’ve been super happy with it. Plenty of power for me, and it handles my 4K60HDR workflow in final cut like a boss
I was previously editing my videos on a 2018 iPad pro, so this is a huge step up. I may not have all the ports I need but I’m glad I didn’t hold out for the 14 or 16 that notch is laughable
Love you man.
Love your content.
Loved this one.
Even though i don’t have a MacBook, neither i ever want one.
Buying 16inch 1tb in 10 days!
How did you get the time-lapse panning shots for the port segment?
Apple’s M1 Macbooks is pretty much the gold standard on how to make an ARM powered laptop that competes with x86-64. Also, have you tried Rosetta 2 or Apple’s Compatability/Translation layer for running x86-64 applications? I heard its so good that it can run Cities Skylines, just don’t run that game on the fanless M1 Macbook Air.
Lois Rosman would disagree few things abt

as I would llke to say to each their own on their preferences, beatiful video though as always michael
Fantastic review as always Micheal. But COCONUT LaCriox? 🤮 come on, man.
Apple giveth. Apple taketh
Here I am on a Chromebook looking to wistfully make the switch.
The look on my face when my friends M1 13″ rendered in a couple of minutes what would’ve taken my Haswell iMac hours and hours and hours…I just sat there in disbelief…and then ordered my M1 Max MBP.
