What I am most excited about is that by Apple giving back the physical ports the other brands will follow suit. I hear good things about the new XPS lineup, with regard to performance and battery and I for one think that Microsoft has taken a lot of inspiration for W11 from Apple and the mobile OS’s. In short… all of these small improvements in aesthetics and performance are key to driving the next wave of innovations and I am all for that.

I wish I wasn’t reliant on x86 VMs and could switch to an arm macbook, because in basically every other sense, this seems like the perfect laptop to me.

I actually think given the choice though, an m1 iPad Pro running Mac OS (or at least given pro app support) would be incredible, and I will never not be annoyed at apple for purposely handicapping a device so much.

I traded the 16” and some battery life for 14” and greater portability. For my needs, I have zero complaints. Ok, one USB-A would be nice, but still…. 😎👍🏼

I migrated from a really nice windows Zen book to the M1 Max MBP for work, and I have to say I think I’m gonna permanently transition. The machine and the software is just a whole package after several OS updates, and I find myself actually enjoying using my machine rather than using it as a tool. I’m still sticking to Windows for my gaming needs, though.

Thank god that clown Johny Ive left Apple and they started fixing the shitty design-over-function moves he made.

2015-2019 were some real bad years for Apple product design: Everything from the shitty iPhone 6 debacle to the abomination they called buttefly keyboard, the shitty touchbar and the removal of ports.
