Great video and I’d like to see you do more car stuff like the Hyundia Ioniq
Neither. Sticking with my M1 MBA.
Please Review MSI creator Z16 Hiroshi Fujiwara limited edition and tell us whether it has MUX Switch and G-Sync.
It has 16″ QHD+ (2560×1600), 16::10, 165 Hz Refresh Rate, “MiniLED”, VESA DisplayHDR™ 1000 Certified, 100% DCI-P3(Typical), IPS-Level panel, 1000nits Brightness level, RTX3060
It is the Second laptop with Mini LED Display (LCD Panel) with 165hz refresh rate.
As you know there isn’t any laptop with OLED high refresh rate.
Its worth reviewing so please.
16” 1TB Max 32GB and you are done!
Still a bit sad that Apple cannot get Bluetooth to work properly with M1, i have an air and even the Airpods max don’t connect properly or give faulty codecs which impacts sound
In my country Zfold 3 new : 1100$
iphone 13 pro max new: 1800$
What should I buy?
Tom is there any Intel laptop that comes close this for video editing? I’m looking to go more mobile and really considering this. But I quite dislike Apple and their compatibility with standard Windows PCs. That’s why I have never bought an iphone.
What movie was at 11:30?
is that a notch on the screen ?
After a month what is your favourite colour in the 16″ space grey or silver?
What do you think about the fact that the screen resolution isn’t 4k?
That Subway analogy 😂
They are expensive af but Apple fan will buy them anyway.
Does having the laptops on charge most of the time, looking to replace my iMac, deleteriously affect the battery life? I’ve heard the OSX has a way of handling this thereby preventing wear on the battery. And if you were mainly using it for audio production then the base model with, say 32gb rams would be more than enough?
Great review. I’m leaning towards a 16″ M1 Max with 32GB memory and 2TB storage. It won’t move from my desk very often, so weight is no issue for me. I do quite a bit in Premiere Pro and also like to ‘play’ around with After Effects, as well as PS, AI and Capture One for stills work.
I am coming from, which was at the time, a maxed out 27″ late 2014 27″ iMac ( I upgraded to 32 Gb memory), which is a real dinosaur now I know!! It will certainly be a big leap for me for sure, hence my extra time thinking about it! I was considering keeping my 5K 27″ for use as a secondary / primary screen? What do you reckon? Do that or buy a new second monitor? Thanks again for the review. ( Oh by the way, the sponsored brief car review was ok too 🙂 )
great review Tom! especially liked the step by step analysis of which mac to prefer and why – reason 1 is this, reason 2 is that etc., very helpful
Can’t wait for MacBook Pro M1 Max Ultra T_T
I’m unquestionably, an Apple man. I have the latest Pro Max iPhone, the latest Apple Watch and I’ve very recently upgraded my iPad Pro to the latest 12.9 1TB M1 version, which, along with the additional keyboard set me back almost £2000 and in my opinion, worth every penny. The Apple Eco system ensures unrivalled, smooth transition between devices and secure memory back up. I also have a Mac mini permantly installed in my hifi system.
I sit behind a top spec windows desktop at work for 43 hours a week, so have a fair comparison to formulate my opinion. Even at work my iPad Pro is sat on the desk next to me, mainly for entertainment purposes. I don’t feel I have the need for a MacBook. The devices I have are more than sufficient for my purposes. I guess I am not sufficiently.creative to warrant investing in a MacBook.
If I could improve my iPad Pro, I would have Apple make it available with better connectivity. My 12.9 iPad Pro even with a bulky keyboard attached, slips easily into the laptop pouch of my backpack. If Apple were to introduce a larger version, say a 16.2 inch as in the MacBook, well, I’d be first in the queue to buy it. I do have a 32 inch 4K HDR monitor for use with my iPad at home, but, it would be no inconvenience to carry a 16.2 inch version around with me for use away from home.
Another plus with Apple is their outstanding after sales service, their unrivalled technical support and generous trade-in deals. Not that their trade-in deals are ever an option for me, as, with the exception of my eldest son, who is24 and detests Apple, my off-spring are all to keen to relieve me of older devices!
Keep up the good work Tom. I always enjoy your videos, finding them informative, educational and unbiased.
I will prever windows more
Superb video and I didn’t even want to watch it as I had already bought THE 16 inch Max 32GB 1TB. I do 3D work and use After Effects so I’m happy with the decision, and your review seems to mostly support that. Cheers Tom
