Hello Chap, could you please make comparison between Air M2 and m1 pro 14”?
nope
Solid reviews as always 🙂
m2 air is for girls watching tiktok only….for everybody else the pro is the way…Dave2D knows why
Was going to get this with the 16 ram and 512 ssd but then the MBP was on sale for 1799 yesterday which made my decision easy.
I’m glad that Tom finally commented, if briefly, on the lack of 120 Hz refresh rate, which is something he’s been consistently complaining about at length for Windows laptops but was completely silent about during his initial hands-on with the MBA. Unfortunately, for him to claim this is the best keyboard on a laptop is just insane. The Cherry MX keyboard on Dell’s Alienware, hell, even its regular keyboard, would wipe the floor with this thing and its 1 mm travel distance. There are so many other far superior keyboards out there besides those, too. Even for ultraportables, if you want a keyboard with good travel distance, you can get an LG Gram 14 with 1.65 mm travel. Even a Lenovo X1 Nano has 1.35 mm travel distance. Both accomplish this while weighing 25% less than this “Air.” The Magic Keyboard on Apple laptops simply is “adequate” at best and “bad” if we’re being totally honest. I do appreciate its powerful chip, environmentally responsible design, solid trackpad, and lack of fan, but it has a bad keyboard, a glossy screen, and a very high weight considering it’s using an ARM processor. Does not deserve to be called an “air” at all.
4:30 don’t call us out like that
We want comparison between macbook air m2 vs macbook pro 14 M1 pro
Okay, I need an advice. So, currently I have the M1 air with 16/256. I have a buyer who is willing to buy it for $1100 CAD, so if I get an M2 air with 16/256, it’s $680 extra, however since I’m a student I’m getting an additional $210 gift card, so technically it’s $470 extra. Is it worth it? Or should I not sell my M1? Please advise. I need some advice from a tech expert. The only reason I want to get it is cuz of the design refresh, not even because of the M2.
I would actually want a comparison with the MVP 14. So maybe a video comparing the M1 Air, M2 Air, and MBP 14.
The webcam on m2 MacBook Air still sucks
Loved it, as always, thank you for the vid! Out of clumsiness, I must go for the ones with MagSafe charging, but with the USD200 price hike, it’s a hard call to make (especially since there’s 27% tax in Hungary and Apple adds 10% more because they don’t trust our currency….) at the end of the day, if I want the old, LOGICAL charging cable that prevents me from pulling my lappy to the ground every time I get stuck in the cable, I must get a ridiculously overpriced model (air or 14). PS: soonest recovery!
Hey, what were the specs of the one you tested out!? Thanks.
I think the reason for the 1 hour more battery usage is due to Rosetta. With M1 MB Air, Apps weren’t compatible with Apple Silicon, so Rosetta was used a lot. Now, they’re compatible and also, MacOS is much more stable now than 2 years back. In a fair comparison, those two should give the same battery.
I’m on edge with this thing. I’ve been rocking a 2012 MacBook Pro and I’ve upgraded it to 8 gigs of ram and it works great, but I dislike the bulk and extreme heat it produces. I would like to get a new MacBook that would last me just as long as my 2012 one (But not as short lived as my 2007 MacBook) for at least 5 years. I would like to have extra ram as, well, I can’t upgrade it later on down the line as my needs increase (I am planning on going into computer engineering and have zero idea how much I’d need and would like room to grow). I really don’t care too much about the storage as I’ve been living on a 240 gig SSD for a while with no issues. It really seems that the M2 air fits the bill, but I’d like anyones opinion on the matter!
“Top notch” webcam haha very good 👌🏼
I hope you see my comment @The Tech Chap. I wonder for a PhD student like me who is opening many browser tabs, pdf, word, excel files and use Stata. Do you recommend me to go 16 ram with 256 or 8 ram with 512 or 16 ram with 512. I hope you help me before I decide my first MacBook ever. From UK too 💪🏻
I haven’t watched this review yet but I’m pretty sure it will be good. Am a fan of how honest your opinion is regardless of whatever the hype is 👏👏
Why didn’t they address the fingerprints? I now regret this color choice. What is Apple thinking?
Is your wallpaper on the m2 a default one? Absolutely love it
