1 week in with my M1 Mac Air…I like it but I’m still on the fence of returning it and getting the Pro. At any point, did you think that getting the Pro would’ve been a better purchase?
Im worry about ssd machine on this chip. so many complain about it.. can u fell it?
what do you think about ssd issue ?
I’m a fashion designer that mostly uses photoshop, do y’all think I should get a M1 MacBook or 12.9 IPad Pro ?
1:26 Holy sh^* — what’s the point of having so many tabs open in Chrome? The tabs are so small you can’t even see what page they’re on.
Fanless design with top performance is *amazing* — exactly what I’ve been wanting, for so long. My current and former MBPs (since ~2008) have both been SO LOUD that they straight-up distracted me to the point I need to wear noise-reducing headphones or earplugs, and have made me too self-conscious to use them in quiet spaces.
Thanks for your great reviews. I have subscribed and checked out your blog — tons of quality content. Is there anywhere that you detail the specs on the equipment you use for your videos? What types of camera, mic, tripod, and software produce such clear image and audio quality and allow for such smooth transitions? I’ll purchase through affiliate links, if you have them.
As others have said, you have a very soothing quality to your presentation and your content is rich with details. You’ve hit the sweet spot. All your hard work is appreciated.
One last comment, because I didn’t see a place to post it on your blog: when I tried to follow your link to the WiFi extender you recommend, it came up as Page Not Found. When I typed in the ac2100 model number, all I could find by that manufacturer were ac1200s. (I didn’t search beyond the first couple of pages on Amazon, and I haven’t educated myself enough, yet, to know whether there’s a difference in capabilities, compatibilities, or range between the two models.) May be worth a P.S. on your post, or just updating the link so that you can earn credit from the referral. I’m in the market for one and, if it works with my model of router, will replace the Netgear one that hasn’t served me well.
Thanks again!!
This is an amazing video, keep pushing content.. u gonna blow up
I think I’m going to sell my iPad Pro to get this machine. I tried to make it into a laptop but it just doesn’t work. And it’s amazing that we can say for the first time that the MacBook Air is a powerful machine.
if they had more than 2 Thunderbolt ports my M1 macbook pro would be the perfect laptop
God , that was relaxing! Too many manic hype shouting videos about this. Nicely done
Hi What spec did you buy 8GB etc. Thank you
If I buy this it’s gonna be my first Mac and I really want to keep it for MANY years. Someone that I know told me that he has his MacBook since 2014 and still works basically the same, 7 years later. Am I gonna find this here? Also I’m thinking of getting this with the 16gb ram. Please answer
You edited the video quite well 👌👌
I ordered mine recently & I’m so excited to get it!! I’ve also been a windows user my whole life!
I love my Air M1 base model 😊
Though my next one would be 16GB ram.
Xcode + safari devours the 8GB ram.
I just ordered mine, should arrive tomorrow. I’ve been using a Surface Pro 6 which I loved, but since I’m an Apple user I wanted to take advantage of the Apple “environment”.
Great video and content.
Great review. Just got my MacBook Air. 👍🏾
I’ve been a Windows user all my life and I’m conflicted between getting a MBA or MBP, though for some reason I like MBA M1 more. The thing that concerns me is the fan. MBP has a fan, while MBA doesn’t. My daily activities consist of Zoom meetings, editing videos, writing documents, browsing with multiple tabs, overall multitasking. And when quarantine is over I’m surely going to bring the laptop everyday to college. I wonder, dear MBA users, is the fanless design going to last you for a long time? Sure, I like the idea of not hearing the sound of fan going off. But will it be fine for long-term? I rarely have the opportunity to buy a new laptop and since now I do, I want to do it wisely.
