Agree on Touch Bar ! completely useless to stay polite.
Great review. Well done Nilay and Becca.
I bought the base model i3 MacBook Air. First Macbook that I’ve actually ever been intrested in. I think the i3 dual core model will be just fine too because it outperforms the dual core i5 in the previous (2019) model, if by a little bit, and considerably outperforms it in graphics with that new iris plus vs the uhd 617 (shudder). People were fine with that i5 one too, so why would they not be with the new i3 one with a better keyboard, speakers, and graphics. Excited nonetheless, I think it will be perfect for what I need it for.
Nobody has talked about the i7/16GB performance ! Did apple not ship those to anyone ?!
I still remember your review of 1st gen Apple Watch in 2015.
I am not at all satisfied with this review. I can forgive the bad lighting but who’s gonna talk about the iris plus graphics. That’s also another reason to get the i5 variant
i like the socks!!!
Commenting from early 2015 MacBook air.
4-5 hours of battery is terrible.
I legit only watched the video to see, how Nilay (with the supervision of Becca of course) would handle the “home office”-situation. And I like it! I kinda love, how even big YT-Channels go “back” to the DIY’y-times. And I bet it, takes the pressure off of so many people, that haven’t had the courage to start posting stuff, worrying about the quality of their videos.
Mac Air – Apple’s most popular Mac
Cuz Duh… It’s not by choice, it’s the only Mac most can afford 😭
Touch support on macOS would be a mistake. Nobody wants to have big-buttons interfaces in every app like Windows 10.
3:10 I don’t think it’s a bad thing that Apple still hasn’t put a touchscreen on their Mac laptops.
If anyone has used macOS before, you’ll know that the interface is designed (and has been) for keyboard and mouse only. It’s *precise.* From the window buttons to the top menubar, reaching out with a finger to poke at those tiny elements will be an exercise in frustration. I’m not defending Apple’s conservatism when it comes to their laptops, but people fail to understand the huge undertaking it will be for the company to redesign macOS to use touch support.
did you benchmark it with league of legends?
For graphic design and video editing would you recommend the Macbook Air or Pro?
I can’t believe apple stills has ports on their laptop 🤯
Other thing that doesn’t have is lower price
The Mac air 2020 is a fantastic upgrade. Although I got the pro need that wide gamut. But the Mac air screen fantastic.
I’ve never used the touch screen on any of my laptops. I prefer them without it, to be honest.
Please add more light moments like Becca’s direction etc. You guys are not only tech journalists, but also entertainers now, not that you haven’t been before.
