I would assume it is good editing videos on iMovie.. I’m using my iPhone. So would this be a good buy for that.
Also for storing family pictures.
I am a Social Psychology PhD candidate and I own a 2014 Air. Since the Covid crisis I’ve been forced to telework and the machine is slacking a little bit, plus it is giving weird little electric shocks at random when charging. Would you think the Air 2020 would do the job for me? I thought of the i5 option. My typical daywork implies a ton of browser tabs open for research articles as well as data processing in SPSS/R and the likes. Plus Microsoft Office (it is the official licesing of my uni). What do you think? Any help would be appreciated.
I have the i7 air 2020:)
I hate touch screens on laptops. I don’t need another iPad. What’s the point.
I wish this was made a little more for those of us who really don’t know much about these laptops. I appreciate the video non the less
I won’t even call the camera there medium.
It’s more like something from the last century.
if you had a camera in 1998, that’s the quality I would expect.
i like the butterfly keyboard. i learned how to type on it reason being.
How does this compare to the 2018 air?
Whats good enough for most people: Buy a 2009-2013 model, install catalina (google dosdude1) and call it a day for 100-200 bucks or so…you can even add an SSD and more ram for next to nothing since all pre 2014 models are upgrade-able…apple have truly gone to shitz since Jobs died…but i cant blame them for price gouging since there are plenty of idiots that pay those prices…
p.s you’l be surprised what you can do on an a 10 year old core2duo system=) I see NO frikkin’ difference for normal use between the new and upgraded old…
honestly the core i3 is fine for me I personally have not had any issues plus its 899 if you use the education so its 200 dollars cheaper that Sid a pretty substantial difference in terms of price. the base model doesn’t seem to have issues at least for me.
I kept getting 2015’s cus of the new keyboard. I say keep because I keep breaking my macbooks and most recently dropped it (oh no). Gonna consider the MacBook Air. I am like a “power” chrome user so…idk. No touchbar. Old keyboard. Retina. Actually portable (i.e. not my nearly 5-pound 15″ clunker).
Are you reviewing a macbook or your are you reviewing your face? More videos of the macbook and less videos of your face. Please
I have a 2013 MacBook Air and I don’t think these new ones are better. They just have newer hardware that’s faster, but losing ports, and honestly, I think, from my experience in the Apple store looking at them, sturdiness, as well, makes it hard to upgrade. Computers are so expensive that it’s hard to buy something you don’t think is 100%.
Mmm yea i’ll stick with my Microsoft laptop
Ordered my MacBook Air 2020 – my first MacBook! I got a student discount at Apple and a huge refund on a study trip to Russia that was sent to happen in April before coronavirus got out of hand and I can’t wait to use it for my studies at university!
Hi i have a question. I cosntantly need to read a lot of articles and PDFs along woith watching videos and web browsing. I do not use macbook for video editing or heavy tasks , HOWEVER I do attach a 1080p display. Do you think an i% is good enough for that with16gb ram? Or should I go for mac pro 13 base ? Any thoughts would be really appreciated. Thanks. Btw very nice video.
Honestly the most thing that I’m disappointed in is that there’s no USB ports for anything like that. Image buying a laptop and not having thst
Great review, but I’m not staying home.
The real question is… CAN I PLAY SIMS 4? Can someone please tell me cause i want a computer that can run sims 4 with all expansions and about 4 gigs of cc…. thanks 😊
Hi, firstly thanks for the cool review! I’m considering to purchase the new Macbook Air with the i5, would you recommend 16GB of ram or will 8GB be good enough considering i’m looking to keep it for a good few years.
