I’m wanting to buy a new laptop, specifically a MacBook Air for university. I will use it with Microsoft office applications, YouTube videos, web browsing, multitasking etc.. will the i5/8GB RAM be okay for me? I’m not going to be needing to store ALOT of stuff. What would you recommend?
I’m just here for his accent
This was honestly the best macbook air review I’ve seen so far. Love the fact that you addressed the fan noise issue and actually showed us the RPM/temperatures when casually using it, and not just complaining about overheating when being subjected to more demanding tasks. Keep up the good work man, definitely subscribing!
The performance date displayed on the top bar ? which app is used to provide this. Thanks in anticipation.
Honestly my 2014 hp is half the specs of this MBA and it runs all my daily tasks fine, besides some lag cause I have 4gb of ram and an hdd
So I think this MBA is gonna be great for me!
I think what Apple did here is actually quite smart. They took out the heat pipe, causing concern about the thermals and fan speeds during intensive tasks, which would in turn draw more attention to the Pro models. If you’re not catching on, let me explain. My theory is Apple downgraded the thermal management just enough so the MBA would suffice for normal tasks like schoolwork or documents, gathering the attention of students and, say, financial managers. By doing this, they eliminate (or substantially lower) the chance of having a person who does intensive work on a regular basis saving a couple hundred bucks and buying the Air, and increase the chance of that person buying the more expensive Pro models. Apple would never release a product that fails to perform to their set standards. However overpriced they may be, they still care about the consumer’s experience and having loud fans is definitely a part of that experience. I think their goal was to optimize the Air to fit basic needs so that other people who perform rigorous tasks opt for the Pro models instead.
Have it and hate the fan. “Turbo boost switcher” app fixed it.
Who just hit the suscribe button because of his voice and accent
College student here. Would recommend this model with i5 upgrade or base model pro. I want to keep this for a while and not have to worry. I like to multitask and really want to get to try to edit some photos. What are your suggestions
What about Microsoft Teams? I’ve heard it has issues with that and the fans kick in. Thanks
Is that good for coding??
Is MBA good for students? I heard the new MBA needs air lol. I don’t know what to choose between MBA or MBP and classes will start soon.
overheating problems?
Informative . 👍🏻
Hi there, your review is really help me! I’ve decided to upgrade my Macbook Air 2017 to Macbook Air 2020 with i5. So far i am using my MBA 2017 for working, mostly using office applications, autocad, and ms project (dual boot). I will install the same application in my future MBA 2020 🙂 .. greeting from your Indonesian new subscriber

Hey I wanted to ask for your opinion. I will buy a new MacBook next week and I’m not sure which one (the MacBook Air 2020 i5 512 GB or the pro 2020 base modell 265 GB) is better for me. I want to use it for my university tasks like Microsoft office and for watching Netflix which one should I buy ? thanks for your help
Is the MBA i5 good for a psychology student? I also have an ipad pro 2017 model
