i have a question.. im a student and i wanna use this macbook for at least 3 years and all i do is normal tasks (microsoft office, watching netflix/yt, researching and stuffs like that, maybe 3-5 tabs at once and i dont play games at all) and im about to buy the base model i3 because its the only one that fits my budget. would it be okay? im also concerned about the heating issues. but at most, im using this for school especially now for online classes

Great video. Informative and clears up a lot of confusion and overblown hype about lack of performance, thermals and fan noise. I hate the Touch Bar. So returned my 13” MB Pro. So cannot decide if I now want this Air, or the new Dell XPS 13 (2020) 🤔 Yeah the Air syncs better with my iPhone and AppleWatch. But I ain’t 100% committed to a MB. And have owned W10 machines. And the Dell with that infinity edge bezel-less Touch screen display, keeps drawing my attention. Any advise most welcome! 👍🏽

Hello, so I bought this MBA 2020, I got this weird problem. There is a little bit of space between the actual screen and metal. Anyone got this problem?

Great video. Thanks. The app you used is a real lifesaver too so I can keep an eye on my thermals. Which temperate did you follow though on your bar? I have the quad core i5. Should I look at an individual core? Or CPU PECI? Or CPU Proximity?

Thanks @Techkhamun.. I came across this while trying to understand why my 2020 i5 MBA was so loud. I’ve noticed that my unit definitely runs warmer than yours.. For example, currently with two safari tabs, one PDF and citrix VDI for work the cpu temps are about 80c. I’ve also noticed that the fans spin up to a fairly audible speed once I get onto a FaceTime or Skype call. I am using an external display and maybe that causes additional strain on the processor.. Any thoughts?

hi, sir pls tell me which model I should go with as my basic requirements are movies(Netflix/prime), web browsing, social media apps & a little bit of office-related works like word, excel, and programmings like java scripts & SQL. I don’t need to do any video editing nor playing any games as I have PS4 or to run heavy apps like the android studio.
I3 with 10th gen can do this? or do I need to get the i5 variant? is there really a huge diff.?? I want MAC for at least 5-6 years

I’m reselling my  mac air 2020 at $300 loss at purchase price.

This machine has the worst thermals, I use zoom for office meeting + 2-3 light safari tabs + excel file open in the background. At this super normal non work task this machine’s fan is revolving at 5500+rpm and temp is around 95+ degrees C.

A machine purchased in 2020 at $1600 performing this way seriously breaks my heart. The fan is not attached with the heat pipe/motherboard inside.

Should’ve gone for mac pro.CAN U PLEASE CONFIRM IF THESE FAN NOISE AND TEMP IN 90S DEGREES ARE A NORMAL PHENOMENA FOR MACS NO MATTER AIR PRO OR 16INCH?
