The reason why the previous Air was the default was because there was simply no competition. They un-niched the ultraportable and it took a while for others to catch up.

I started with the 11.6” 2013 MacBook Air i5 128GB, as a high school senior; it was excellent for my first two years in college as well. Now I have a 13” 2016 MacBook Pro i5 256GB in Space Grey. Let’s just say, this computer isn’t going anywhere anytime soon for years to come!

I’ll get a new macbook if they change the keyboard back… I hate the feel of the new butterfly keyboards, it causes me to type worse, and typing is the most important basic function of a laptop.
