I don’t understand why everyone hates ( most reviews on YouTube) the MacBook Air. For a normal User or Mac beginner it’s enough. But I’m not sure to buy it cause of the keyboard problems

I have an iMac and the gen 2 MacBook Air. There’s nothing wrong with the air and it still runs perfectly but I’m fancying an update, do you think it’s worth the upgrade? Since I have an iMac I don’t think I’ll need the MacBook Pro because I use the air solely for studying and maybe playing the odd game and watching movies when I’m not home.

I‘m sorry this might be a very very dumb question, but I have never had a laptop before and I‘ve been saving up a lot of money to get a mac book air, so I really want to start editing like short videos of traveling with cool „swoosh“ effects, or just any kind of video with quite a few effects and I just wanted to ask if that is possible or do I have to buy a mac book pro for that?
