The 2015 MBA is still better than the newer versions tbh. I drenched mine in water 2 months ago and now it’s as if nothing happened and is fully functional again.

I don’t recommend MacBook pros for editing because when I edit in photoshop the sizing is off and just not accurate with the retina displays. I prefer editing on the MacBook Air for personal preference only because of that reason.

My 11” 2015 MacBook Air has been my daily computer for five years! It’s never frozen and hardly slowed down, even with the install of Big Sur! I have a 2019 21.5” iMac and in some ways the older MBA is much better!

But I came looking for info because someone is gifting me the 2015 MacBook Pro and I wanted to know if it would really be much of an upgrade from the air! Sounds like it will be!

I just bought one for about $260. I plan to use it to type papers. Mostly for school. I have a new iPad Pro 4th generation so i don’t think I’ll have any problems

Bought a mint condition 2015 today and got it for a really good price. 8gb ram and 128gb storage. £350 ($450). Wife was very pleased with it. Replaced a truly awful Lenovo Chromebook which was only 2 years old and completely bricked.

I bought a 2014 model in 2016 and still use it today. After four years of heavy use the only issue I have is the battery, it is difficult to use it for an entire day without charge. For example watching youtube for 4 hours without being plugged in will kill the battery. Aside from that it works well and I have had no issues with speed or performance.
