i got the 2012 macbook pro 8 gb ram 256mb vram intel hd4000 graphics intel i7 2.9 GHz and i draw on some pretty taxing programs that would have crashed my last gaming pc. i have also played skyrim flawlessly the mac air is going to load faster cause of the ssd but the macbook pro is easy to carry around and runs AMAZING. this isn’t the retina.
Hello, i was thinking of buying the macbook air 13″ model with 8gb of ram; my concern is that i am not sure how long the system will be useable before becoming outdated. I am also unsure of the build quality of the internal components (flash storage etc) and the expected lifespan of the system before it breaks?
wich one is better for graphic design?
If u are going to edit videos/photoshop u obviously want as much ram as u can get so i would go for the macbook pro. But if your using it for school or just basic stuff like surfing the web i would prefer the air. Hope this helped if not just watch the video again haha or watch another one.
i just got my macbook air and i have no complaints 🙂 i needed it for college so i will be using photoshop, illustrator and word mostly, i upgraded the ram to 8gb so it wouldn’t lag or anything but i got a HUGE discount because I’m a student so the price was very good (for an apple product). to anybody who is wondering weather to go for a macbook air or pro i would go for the air because it is crazy fast (photoshop loads in about 3 seconds) its sexy and its way cheaper than the pro.
How much on a student price?
I just bought a Macbook Air 13” a few days ago and i want to use Final Cut Pro 7 on it for up to probably an hour long video edit. Do you think the air can handle it without lagging or breaking? Do you think i should return it and get the base line macbook pro for $1200 ?
If your using your macbook air for heavy video editing than you should probably get a macbook pro. The airs are for browsing and LIGHT editing. The pro’s are much better for heavy video editing. So if you edit large videos than you should definitely get the pro.
need some help lol. Right now, i have a Dell Laptop. Im giving that to my parents. I was orginally going to get a new laptop with winows 8 but ive changed my mind. Im going to try the Mac. My concerns are that i like making smaller movies and burning them to DVD. Does this have a dvd drive?? Im not into hardcore video editing. Just putting home movies from camera to DVD. Also, I have an android phone. Can i still use that with a mac like a regular laptop?
What do you consider heavy editing? because the videos i edit are not really that bad its just maybe cutting out a few seconds or color or maybe green screen a picture or person.
great presentation. i just got a Macbook Air 13″ for my birthday and it was really what i wanted. the macbook pro retina is just too much computing power for me, and at twice the cost i couldn’t justify it for my needs.
Macbook air doesn’t have a DVD drive but you can buy an external drive 😀 yes you can use it like a normal computer, it’s just a different OS/
Prefiero mil veces a windows 7,vista q a mac pero si pudiera tenervun aple con windows me lo compraria
Cool chairs.

For casual users it does not get better than this.
