@CynicalGenius1 the laptop verion of it is
Are you implying a 1TB harddrive is quicker than a 128GB SSD? If so, that’s entirely wrong. Spending $1200 dollars on a Alienware won’t get you any further than it will with a Mac – other than ending up with a 3-4kg chunk of plastic, that is. Heh, not to mention the noise!
Thanks for the review! Definitely looking into getting one!
This didn’t feel like a review at all, you normally get blasted with figures (which lets face it you could find on the website if you were interested). This was really relaxed, I hope more reviews begin to adopt this style. Thanks!
Your a boss!
I got mine yesterday, but I got the HE discount!!
Because it’s a pc…
@TrOuBLeDbOyxD pc’s don’t have touch screens
1.8 ghz? HA! Does it at least have a decent amount of RAM? Either way, that shouldn’t be more than $600.
Hello. I have some questions for you and please answer them with your opinion, and what you would do in my case. I’m going to collage in a few months, I’m going to study aviation,and i would like to know which device would be more useful for me, an iPad or this MacBook Air? I’m also getting my Private pilot license. (I don’t have money to buy both of them)
I can relate to what he’s saying. I’m a photographer and on my old HP7 I just ran Lightroom 3 and did occasional web browsing and had my iTunes running. I’m sure the MacBook air can handle that. It’s much lighter and portable and I love that it being so small it’s still very capable. All these speed tests and boot up times are flash without substance. It’s all about real-world usage.
I say the Air, (assuming you aren’t referencing the Pro Retina) it’s got a better display, about the same processing speed as the 13” Pro (base model & factoring in Turbo Boost), slimmer & lighter design, & basically just everything you need to get you by day by day.
As the guy in the video said, I too would suggest upgrading the RAM to 8GB of memory just in case you might want to do some video-editing (or something similar) with it in the future.
pooop
I’m a uni student doing sport. So I don’t need to video or photo edit. This one seems plenty good enough. But should I wait for the 2013 Air or will that be much more expensive?
@Daniel Harris i have the same
nice video… I was expecting some reviews about battery life.

of course you can, great for all that.
I really want an Air, but I’m waiting for a 15″.
