I don’t know which model I should buy. It’s mainly for casual everyday use and some gaming maybe. I’m doubting between the air 13 inch with 8 gb ram or the macbook pro 13 inch with 8 gb ram (no retina display). My main concern is the lack of usb ports (usb headset, mouse, extra keyboard and a external hard drive because of the low capacity). Anyone got any suggestions?

Get the pro. For roughly the same price give or take $100, you have a lot more capabilities regarding ports and more advanced processing power, specifically towards gaming. Although I myself have the air which i use as my main computer and i have never regretted it, the pro is an official mobile powerhouse, desktop-replaceable, with all the ports and specs you will ever need, even if it’s just a once-a-year type thing. great review. i’m looking at picking one of these up for some adobe indesign work. how would the 128gb storage and the 4 gigs of ram perform? i’m totally cool with using cloud storage to supplement some space, but i don’t want to get stuck with a half-assed pc.

great review but for 1200 dollars you can get a laptop thats probably better than a macbook air i know that the screen wont be as good quality but it will probably run faster and you would be able to upgrade a lot easier you could get a alienware laptop with a 1TB hard drive and intel i5 and i twold probably run better than a macbook air

Hey, i’ve been up in the air between this and the new pro….I’m still on the fence about buying this over the pro. I’m a gamer and I know the pro comes stock with an upgraded graphics card, but this does not….will this be able to handle gaming with just the onboard graphics card?? That’s honestly my biggest concern and is what is keeping me from buying this over the pro….suggestions?
