Does the weight of the macbook pro really affect you that much? If weight is a concern then would the macbook air be significantly better? @unboxtherapy

an i7 is needed only for rendering and photo editing, an i5 will more than suit somebody who needs to type up documents and other stuff

No Nicky is right….. Having the hyper threading only shows a difference in rendering and photo editing. Also anything else that would utilize those 4 more virtual cores, you could use it on.

I need to buy a Mac, because of the Xcode application to create ios apps and stuff, but i don’t know if i should buy an MacBook air, or a MacBook pro retina or not retina, i just know that i want a computer for doing almost everything like sometimes play some video games like Black Ops or something like that. What do you think is better for me? By the way don’t you think the air 11″ Model is better because of the aspect ratio screen compared to the 13″ Model?

You should get the MacBook Pro 15″ non retina base model, and if you have that extra cash go for the 2.6 GHz model. Good luck. 🙂

Hi i have the same question, an upgradet air to 8GB or the 15″ pro, i need it JUST for adobephotoshop 6cs, quit heavy photo editing, but just that, no video no gaming…will the air be enough?
