Lol Macbook pros just doubled in price, yet sheeps are buying it anyway. I guess they’d buy it even if it was $10000 only to “get a Mac”. Air is something more reasonably priced.

Hey i like lolly, the MBA would be a great laptop for you as a student, and with the games, if you downloaded them off steam onto your computar it might run slower but not by much, and if ur using the superdrive for disc based games you should be fine.

Hey I have a deal with my father that if I get at least a 3.5 GPA on my next report card he’ll help me out on the cost of a MacBook. I really want to get the 13″ air because an 11″ just doesn’t fill my need. I am planning on getting it by Christmas with all the money I gain from family I’ll have at the least $400 most $500 but my dad will only pay $600 tops. How van I raise extra money as a 14 yr old.

Why do you need the 13″? The only noticable difference is the SD card slot.
For storage you can always use an external hard drive

This was a great review. I want to purchase a MBA. But I don’t know which one to purchase. Would the high-end MBA with 256GB, 1.8Ghz, 4GB ram good enough for website development, graphic design (Illustrator & Photoshop), Word processing and other basic task, or should I upgrade to 2.0Ghz and 8GB of ram.

I’m getting the macbook air 64gb because this stuff is expensive and i want it cause im going to highschool and schools use macs more than pcs for some reason.

I would personally definitely configure it with 8GB of ram, but as for upgrading it to 2.0Ghz i7 processor, it would have to depend on how long you are expecting to carry on using this machine, any more then 3 years i would recommend you do so to future proof it but if you expect to have it less then that then i wouldn’t as im sure Photoshop would run fine. If you upgrade all those specs then the price becomes the same as a base model 13″ Macbook Pro with retina display, so it’s a hard decision.
