I’m a computer science major and looking into this computer.

Does the Mac Book air save a lot of energy as compared to a gaming desktop? Also, can it play Runescape HD @ full settings? Yes, I’m a nerd… and i love myself for it. Thanks for the help.

im going to school for film and broadcasting, and am really interested in the background jobs like editing, pre/post production and am interested in using software like final cut pro, after effects, etc. In this case would the macbook book pro or the macbook air be more appropriate?

I definitely think a macbook pro would be more suited to handling such software, as the macbook air isn’t really meant for doing stuff like that 🙂

i am deciding which macbook to buy, pro or air, in the 13 inch models. Both laptops for low end and high end cost the same. i already i own an iMac but i need a laptop for school. Im worried that if i got a pro id start to underuse my imac and it would become a waste. But then again if i decided to get an air it would be a waste of money as i could get a better laptop for the same price. which laptop should i get? thanks

No it wouldnt affect because mac has microsoft office. if you want to run windows on a mac, simply download boot camp. so mac is the only computer you will ever need

macbook pro w/ retina display v.s macbook air. id go with the macbook air if i was you. it’s light weight very portable and is as thin as less than half an SD card. macbook pro w/ retina display is for hardcore macbook users fo intense video editing and other hardcore computer stuff. go with a air. macbook air.

I am going into my first year of college and I have been debating if I should get the MacBook Pro 13 inch or the MacBook Pro 15 inch. I am going into business degree, I will be using it for writing, documents and research. Just the basic stuff. Which one would be more suitable? Or should I just go for the 13 inch MacBook air? I am new MacBook and I just can’t decide which one is more suited for me.
