You have no chance.
I’m getting this computer highest storage and I’m ordering a Tiffany blue case for it in amazon!! So excited!!!!!😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
Its cheaper here with no tax etc on amazon amzn(dot)to/NodjSt
Ok, I want a computer for 3d modelling, graphic design, and a little bit of gaming(minecraft, LoL, SC2) should I go with the air or pro
I can confirm. MBA 13 2012 is the real deal. I have the one with 8GB and 256GB. The extra 500$ for a 512GB is IMHO overkill. If you have OSX you wont need any Windows or Linux, because OSX is the best of both. It can do all I want a computer to do, I am really happy with this. It’s my first mac (net to my Ipad).
I have made up my mind Macbook Air it is! Great review!
Im not a pro but i will say this the mac wont make an improvement in quality and sound as far as im concerned thats based ont he deviced you used to record and what not.
secondly, ive heard from friends that the air is a great computer for video editing, configure the macbook air to the max settings not including SSD storage, and you should be fine. However if you DO HAVE THE MONEY, then i would probably reccomend getting the macbook bro with retina display.
as for the older macbook pro
purchase, it doesnt matter. but if i were to invest in a mac and i did have money i would go retina mac. if i dont the older macbook pros still do a good job. all your losing is the SSD storage, and some very minor performance.
I’m planning to invest in a Macbook Air (2.0 i7, 8gb, 512gb ssd)
Is that enough for school and light editing?
Or should I go for a PC with that price point?
I was wondering if the mac air runs all programs that would run in a mac pro. Im asking this question because someone told me that mac pro. has specific applications that don’t run in other macs, is this true ?
If he was talking about games…maybe…ill get my mba in a few days and i wanna test starcraft 2…i think it can play it farely well…lets see
whats ment with light editing? Because normaly you could be happy with a 500 bucks pc….but the air is sure faster for normal tasks thanks to its ssd
I will get my mba in a few days but my current pc doesnt has a dvd drive (anymore) and i personally dont feel any change. I used an externel drive once this year to install a game wich can be downloaded so that wasnt even necessary.
I would say you dont need dvd drives as long as you dont want to watch films
go to apple.com and see for yourself 🙂
I’m upgrading from a great $400 laptop anyway, but I think the Macbook Air is better for the school environment, as well as I will be installing Windows 7 on it.
And light editing as in a minute long 1080p file every once in a while.
Yeah, it can handle that kind of stuff anyway…and i got mine for the same reasons (but ich play games once in a while instead of editing stuff) cant wait until it arrives!
Gurrr. The SSD in the MacBook Air IS UPGRADABLE. Do a Google search for OWC; they build components for mainly Macs. And they have many SSD modules for the Air line. It is still a little cheaper to buy Apple’s SSD’s, but it gives you options.
man, so happy with the mba. But at the same time I understand, Apple products are not something you easily can afford because they are more expensive than Intel/MS products. If you have ever worked with HP, Dell or Acer notebooks on a daily basis you really enjoy working with a MBA. It’s light, fast, the operating system helps to focus on the thing you like to do. After almost a week, I am still very enthusiastic about my MBA.
I think instead of paying 2199 for a MacBook pro retina you buy an 11″ air for 999 and an iMac for 1199 so you have more power and more portability at 1 dollar I’m comparing the rumoured retina iMac and 2012 11″ air 🙂 XD
Sorry typo 1 dollar less
