Who’s Jack?
So respectful of Mr. Tim Cook to give a cameo. Unexpected!
Interesting and helpful. What is your view that the bigger 512GB SSD drive actually improves overall performance? It isn’t simply about more room for files.
No ports on the front = no sale. It’s pure laziness on Apple’s part.
I was IN the Apple Store app as I was watching/listening to this.
When you got to the part about “more than a couple upgrades & you may wanna go w the M2 PRO” … I then brought up the M2 Pro & IMMEDIATELY bought a refurb at a great price. It WAS the perfect choice for me, so … THANKS, guy! 🤩🤟
(Like he’s gonna see this 🥴)
To my knowledge, no YouTuber have said anything of the problem, in my opinion major, concerning the colour calibration of an external monitor connected to a Mac equipped with the M1 or M2 chip. The problem is that it is impossible to calibrate an external monitor if it is connected to the Mac via the HDMI port. From what I’ve learned, the problem comes from Apple’s M1 and M2 chips. I just experienced it with a Mac Mini M2 Pro. The only way to calibrate my monitor was to plug it into any port other than the HDMI, while at the same time connecting the monitor to the Mac with a USB cable (ascending USB-B port on the monitor connected to the USB-A port on the Mac Mini). It has cost me hours of Internet research to find the solution to this problem that no one is talking about.
I know I’m probably not the average user, but for me, longevity is important. Last week my late 2013 iMac finally died. Could have fixed it as I’ve done in the past, but thought 10 years had been a great bang for my buck, so upgrade time it is, went for the 10 CPU / 16 GPU cores M2 Pro. I fully expect to be rocking it ten years from now.
As long as you happy with ur gaY PorN collection
I just bought an M2 Mini (8g/512g) that will suit me fine as I don’t do all the video production/editing that requires 32g RAM and 8 terabytes if storage. I’m an everyday user. I’ll build a setup as I go along. I have an old Samsung 27” monitor that works and an early Logitech wireless kb/mouse combo. They work okay, but will upgrade them. First up will be a trackpad. After coming off using an 3rd gen iPad Pro (12.9”) for several years (90% of the time) and a 14 yo ACER laptop that finally died, I think a trackpad is a natural progression for me on the Mini. I’d like to end up with a 32” monitor and new (full) kb, probably the Apple magic. I’ll eventually upgrade to a new laser printer, but undecided which. Want a laser b/c I’m tired of inkjets… wasting ink purging the printhead due to inactivity. I don’t print much.
